My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married, perhaps within the next two years. While our 'engagement' is not official (no ring yet) we both know that we want to marry each other, and we are already planning on saving for our wedding.

Anyway, I want nothing more than to get married at my most favorite place on earth! This past week we visited the Wedding Pavilion, and my heart stopped! Absolutely breathtaking! But I looked at the prices on the website, and I can't seem to understand some things....

Is it $10,000 just to RENT the pavilion?! Does that include anything, or is that really just the rental hours for the pavilion? I planned on calling the number, but I'll feel a little dumb calling without officially being engaged...

Please someone aid me in my confusion. If it's really that price, then a girls gotta save ;) haha.. Thanks in advance!!

Depending on which type of wedding you are wanting to have the prices will vary. If you are planning on having a small wedding (20-25 people) then an escape wedding would be right for you. If you will have more guests or have more elaborate plans then a wishes wedding would be better. Each type of wedding has a certain minimum than needs to be met depending on the day of the week or location you wish to get married. A wishes wedding has a minimum expenditure that must be met for it to be considered a wishes wedding. If the costs have not gone up the price for the Wedding Pavillion is around $6,000. It will all depend when and where you get married, the prices will change. I wish you the best of luck! If you have any more questions, just ask. :thumbsup2

I thought the cost of the WP was $3k with all other locations being $2K

OP, if you want a lot of very useful information, try ordering Carrie's Passporters guide to Disney Weddings! It will probably answer more questions than calling DFTW would anyhow. The ebook version updates automatically as things change as well.

We go married last year and the Pavillion was around $5000, however we did the escape package which includes a couple of other things. We did not get married at the WP, but we considered it and that was the price. It is possible that it is less when it is for the Wishes collection being that the expenditures are higher anyway. Carrie's book is an excellent tool! I highly recommend it as well.

The Passporter book is the Bible of Disney Weddings-- SO worth the cost!!

Let us know if we can help at all. :)

To get married at the WP you pretty much have 2 options. Book the Escape Package which means you can have up to 18 quests plus the Bride & Groom, you get a ceremony at the WP including music, flowers for the bride & groom, a limo, a photographer, and then a mini reception to cut you cake, have a champagne toast and do your first dance. This costs $5750 (I think). You can add on a reception if you wish but that triggers a minimum spend of $7500 although the Escape package does count towards that. The higher amount also applies to Fri/Sat/Sun weddings.

The other option is to book a Wishes Weddings where you can have whatever you want as long as you meet the minmum spend of $12000, again this is higher at weekends. The WP I think costs about $3000 and would go towards you $12000 minimum spend.

Minimum spend is $15k for 2013. Just FYI to the OP.
