I got my travel package with tickets, vouchers, and all that fun stuff in the mail yesterday. They do a great job of putting the information together--very neat and organized. My trip is two and a half weeks away now!

So what now? I'm a 20+ trip veteran of Disney World, but this is my first ever trip to Disneyland. I've read a couple of tour books. I've studied all the information available on the DIS. I've picked a few brains. I feel like I'm ready.

But I also feel like I'm not ready.

I have booked the Fantamic Dessert Buffet, the 50th Anniversary tour, the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, a few meals (inculding character breakfasts and lunch at Blue Bayou).

I know I'll be hitting all the rides and shows, but what are things that I might overlook that I should not miss? Help me of Disneyland veterans!

I'll be there for six nights/six days.

What are the ages of people traveling?

Karen, you'll have a wonderful time! I'm no DL veteran...having been there just 3 times as an adult (May 2003 was my last visit), but looking forward to another visit in March. :) I did the Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour in 2000...it was great! You'll have plenty of time to notice all the little details. Here's my recommendation...don't miss getting a huge cone at the Gibson Girl ice cream parlor on Main Street!

Try to visit the rides that aren't at WDW. You will feel at home in DL and be sure to take the time to visit CA. Be sure to take in the Alladin show and visit Crush.

You'll have plenty of time to see and do everything. I would say to take your time and enjoy all the details that are uniquely Disney. Wander the back alleys of New Orleans Square, be sure to look up, and keep looking, above Snow White's Scary Adventures, notice the subtle differences in the ground and trash cans between the lands. Even if a ride is also at WDW, still go on it at DL, there are always differences.

Be sure to do the VMK quests and take the tour so you can share your goodies with your VMK friends. :earboy2:

Look for Stitch at Innoventions and also PUSH in Tomorrowland.

When you go on Buzz in Tommorowland, be sure to send a souvenir pic of yourself to you or a friend.

Thanks for some great tips, everyone! I can't wait to go :)
