Hello everyone. I am back from an extended... vacation?

I have been kicking around some other boards and have come to an important realization.
There is too much bickering and complaining going on at some other boards. Sure we all have our moments when we think something could be done a different way but really... its constant.

I just wanted to say hello from an old timer and that the DIS is officially my home again.

I've tried to explain that to people in the past, but it's as if they don't want to believe me. This board really is one of the nicest and most friendly boards I have ever spent time on. I love it here, even though some people do have their moments.

I believe that we all have our moments. However... when those moments are every moment and when everyone is having them...

Glad to have you back!

I have some other boards of different types that I go to but I am always amazed at the differences. Either the moderation is so strict that you are afraid to say something wrong or there is so little that there is so much spam, fighting, nastiness and indecent things posted that it makes you afraid to open any threads or say anything.

I know that not everything can be perfect anywhere but I do really like the balance here.
