How do I winter them?

leave them outside and take the chance of them freezing and pot breaking?

put them in the basemant?

put them in the garage?

Bring them inside? Kitties would love this option i'm sure.

Here's one suggestion I found Amid. :)

Once nights start getting cold, gather your perennial pots together in an area protected from the harshest winds. Cover the pots with a healthy layer of mulch and weigh it down. You can use this same method to overwinter hardy mums and other fall blooming plants. Don't over water the plants before mulching them, but make sure that they are moist to allow the best freezing.

:)
