For a family trip, I have four room booked at an AP rate (just fyi....the Friday and Saturday nights aren't discounted). Anyway, I have my name in each room as of now because I booked them. However, as we get closer to the travel date, I want to change each room from not Me and my daughter, but to her and her husband. Can I do this and still retain the AP rate? I will be there in my own room and I will be paying for each and every room which I am going to do at check in (and then have them remove my card for my adult children's incidentals). Am I doing this correctly?

Did you make the reservations on line yourself or call in? I’ve always read you can have 3 total rooms at 1 time when booking for yourself & others with an AP discount. I assume online let you make 4 because you’re actually listed in each one. I don’t think you would have gotten all 4 at a discount if you had called in. You may lose the discount on 1 of the rooms when you call to make the change, but no personal experience with that scenario.

Is there any reason why you can't have your name in the same room with your daughter and her husband? We just came back from a trip where my name was on 2 reservations for two adjacent rooms. My cousin is also an AP holder and she also had 2 simultaneous reservations for 2 additional rooms. We called Disney to book and they were able to put all 4 rooms in the same area.

Well, the reason why I wouldn't want my name kept on the reservation is then wouldn't I get charged for three in the room? I mean if it's Mrs. Mom, Mrs. Married Daughter, Mr. Son-in-Law. Wouldn't that count as three?

I reached out to a Reservations Specialist Cast Member to help clarify the current room discount offered to Annual Passholders, but this information may be subject to change for future offers. At this time, Annual Passholders can book up to three rooms with the special offer. The Annual Passholder must be on one of the room reservations to receive the discounted rate. To make sure you get the Annual Passholder discount, you should call in to the number listed under “Disney Resort Hotel Reservations” to make sure that your rooms are all linked as traveling together. If you do not link the rooms together, you will need to visit the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel on the day of check in to provide proof of your Annual Pass. This must be done on the day of check in or the room will revert to the non-discounted price. If you were not planning to stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you would not be able to use the Annual Pass special offer to book a room for non-Annual Passholders.

I thought so too but I'm fairly certain that my two rooms were charged the same. The reservations had my name listed in both rooms. Room 1 had my name and one other 18+ years old. Room 2 also had my name plus two other 18+ people.

Please call Disney to verify though.

is this “Three rooms at the same time” or “three rooms in total using a particular offer for APs”? This is important to me, as I book multiple consecutive rooms as we like split stays and love to explore different resorts. I currently have six different bookings using the current AP offer for Fall/Winter. I am assuming “same time” as this thread was about bookings at same time, but just want some reassurance.

Since in this response they were telling the guest to make sure the rooms were "linked" as traveling together and I've only seen the limit on simultaneous bookings ... I would assume it applies to concurrent. Just my conjecture.

It is simultaneously. I think what I'll do is have my other daughter, who actually does have an AP, book a room and I'll just reimburse her for the deposit and pay for it once I arrive on site. I'll cancel the one I have for her.

Absolutely a better idea! Have a great trip!

It’s 3 rooms for the same dates/ trip. Disney does not recognize split stays as the same trip. Every time you check in is a new trip & qualifies for the discount. Lots of posters, myself included, have had more than 1 trip at a time with a AP discount. You’re fine & yea! for you to be able to have 6 stays & get the discount for them all!
