I have dry socket and its driving me insane

it takes a little while to heal, but so glad you got the treatment you needed.

in one of those 'omg, it only ever happens to me scenarios' ... blowdrying my hair this morning and the hairdryer shorted & sparked. thank god my dad was an electrician and taught us well about what to do in the event of an electrical fire from the time we were kids or else my injuries could have been much worse... i only have an electrical burn on my wrist and up my arm and i'm out of commission for a few days to let it heal & not get infected...

but for anyone who uses a hairdryer or straightening iron... please make sure you're fully dry from your shower before using it :scared1:

you ok...god are we all having crap luck of late or what??

burn cream is good....glad it wasnt much worse...:flower3:

You two, we need to wrap you up in cotton wool until your next disney trips! Glad you are both o.k now. Karen that tooth sounds awful, I had four of my wisdom teeth out in the chair. I too was told about "dry socket" but touch wood never got it! Keep taking the pain killers. Glad the dentist helped you this morning, you need to be all better for your trip!

so feeling better, taking its time to heal, but may take up to 2 weeks to get back to normal:confused3
still a tad sore, but nothing like it was..so remember kids, always brush your teeth and get regular check ups...oh and dont ignore the pain.....

I've been away for a bit and just saw your gap post. Karen I'm so sorry about the pain and discomfort you've been having. To numb the area a bit put some oil of cloves in your mouth or just a couple of cloves, they really do numb your mouth, make your breath smell lovely - they really do help please try.

My DH got a tooth yanked as it had broken to bits (basically he bore down on it too much as it stuck up a bit). He bleeds like a tap, but once he got over that he soon adjusted and became used to the gap. Well three years later he still has the darned gap and refuses to get a fake one stuck in. :scared: (I've given lectures on this and how he's displacing the amount of pressure in his mouth, even if it is at the back it's still ugly etc etc to no avail. Even when I went to the dentist in Thailand and got my teeth whitened and got pricing to get it done cheaper there if he came on holiday, he refused).

Try using hand gestures to DH. I found it quite good therapy last week with laryngitis. Saved my sore throat and make DH jump to it quick smart. He got the signals nearly as fast as the dog! :lmao::lmao:

good idea....may also try it at work..

going to the gym tonight, wish me luck:banana:
