I have CBR Ressies!

My DH made ressies at CBR for 29 Aug - 04 Sept last night!!!!
My B-day is 31 Aug and our wedding anniversary is 02 Sept so we will have lots to celebrate! I am so excited, I can't stop smiling!!!
Now, I have a question about CBR... the bored and uninterested CM that took our ressies via the Disney Club/WDW Res Line told us we could get our APs at the Guest Services desk since we got the AP rate and were planning on buying our APs at TDS right before we go. Everything that I have heard conflicts what she said, so what's the real story? Can we exchange our vouchers for the real deal at Guest Services in CBR or is it solely done at the parks and DTD? Mind you, we won't be checking in until around 11:30 at night (late flight out after work).

Ok. If you're going to buy your AP's from the Disney Store, I'd do it soon. They take about 3 weeks to arrive at the store. You will receive vouchers. You must activate these vouchers at The Ticket and Transportation Center or at the entrance to any theme park. Unless things have changes, you cannot activate them at guest services. They actually take a scan of your bone structure between your index and middle finger and they can only do that at a park entrance. Besides, if you're not going to get to the hotel until 11:30 at night, why activate them that day? They'll only expire that date next year. So when you get to CBR (which I think you will love ), check in, get settled in your room, get a good night's sleep then head to whatever theme park you wish and activate your vouchers then.

I must be thinking ahead of myself... We booked CBR at the AP rate and I'm under the impression you have to have the valid AP card, not the voucher, in order to check in under that rate. Do I have the wrong info?

I just wanted to say have a great Birthday and Anniversary at CBR!! DH and I stayed at CBR near our wedding anniversary and we laid out on the hammocks to watch the Epcot fireworks nightly!! It was very romantic for us!!

From what I've read here, you only need the voucher to check in.

They do a BONE SCAN???? That's amazing and a little scary!

I guess I'll be scanned in November!!!

I think it's a bone scan or something like it. You take your middle and index fingers and squeeze a little bar until all the red lights light up. If the computer recongnizes you as per your card, the turnstile lets you through. If not, they have to manually let you through. I'm assuming this thing scans your bone structure when you squeeze the bar.

When my DH and I checked in to the Polynesian with our AP rate last year, they didn't ask to see our AP's. When we checked into the AKL and the GF also last year, we weren't checked either. But, they will let you in with the voucher......they assumer you're going to activate it, anyway.
