I am so sick. I have finally managed to get out of bed to rehydrate and drink some gingerbread tea. Hopefully this helps. I can't freakin' believe that I leave in 24 hours and I get sick. Oh, DD is upstairs in bed sick too. Unfreakin' believable!

Any old wives' tales that will help me be better ASAP?

Tell yourself you ARE better!
OVER & OVER & OVER again.
Repeat "Thank you for my healing"

Energy flows where attention goes.
Focus on health & you attract health.
Focus on feeling crappy & guess what you get.

Hope you feel better!

I'm right there with you (ok, not quite as bad). I woke up yesterday with a cold. Not the best way to prepare for a marathon. I was aiming to do a short run tonight and tomorrow but instead I will be sleeping as much as possible so I am back to as close as 100% as possible.

Just rest up and think positive. If you are taking any medication with acetaminophen make sure to stay hydrated and I would add some sport drink into the mix to keep you electrolytes up.

This is my biggest fear is getting sick now (since getting injured seems to be past) as that stomach bug has been running rampant here. Everyone around me has had it.

I hope you feel better, seems it's only lasting 24 hours, but takes a lot out of you. Rest as much as you can right now.

Yup, if you have what has been going around, you'll be feeling about 70% by tomorrow. It's a nasty illness, but pretty short-lived.

Just keep hydrating and pack some dramamine for your flight.

Hope you feel better - ASAP!!!!! Pixie dust on that one!!

I had a stuffed up head and congestion this past weekend most likely from playing too much in 10 inches of snow on my Christmas vacation - not the best condition to be in this close to the races. Once I got back to Florida it seems the pressure on my sinuses has subsided now I just have to get rid of this cough.

I had it 3 weeks ago. I started puking at 10pm on a Tuesday and I ran 21 miles on Saturday 4 days later. I was really worried about being hydrated and fueled but it went ok. I hope the same goes for you! Feel better quick!
