I have an unhealthy addiction to the Investigation Discovery channel

I do too! DH and DD say they sleep with one eye open because they are afraid! They say I am watching all these shows to decide what to do to them.

This is a conversation DH and I had the other day.

DH: Why are you watching The Dog Whisperer?
Me: Because I like it.
DH: But we don't have a dog and probably will never have a dog.
Me: Well, I'm not a serial killer and I watch those shows too.
DH: Not yet.

I just think police and detective work is just facinating. To me its like putting a puzzle together.

My husband and DD have made similar comments about me.

Now I've added HGTV and the house buyer programs (House Hunters, Property Virgins, etc.). We were recently considering selling our house so I started watching for ideas, now I'm hooked.

I think DH is relieved! He recently rearranged our dining roon, and I told him how much better I liked it, and he said he got the idea "from one of those house shows".

I love the ID channel. I tape a bunch of shows but don't get to watch them very often. I don't want the kids to see.

The many faces and plots of pure evil is tragic, sad, shocking, and fascinating. It's incredible that everyday people have the misfortune to cross paths with monsters. Many times I have thought, "There but for the grace of G-d go I."

Sometimes all it boils down to is chance.

Its a cold rainy Saturday and I've got ID on and am watching Extreme Forensics! woohoo!!! its actually one I've never seen.

OMG my addiction to this channel is ridiculous. Since I have found it I watch it for hours and hours on end on my days off. The real problem is I've found it makes me pretty paranoid! If I'm home alone and I hear a sound I think someone is trying to break into our condo to kill me!

Disappeared is the worst. I hate not knowing what happened to the people I can't imagine how their families feel.

Love this channel! We sleep with our TV on, so this is the channel I leave on all night long. If I happen to wake up, just watch it until I go back to sleep. It's great.
