I have a stupid question about tickets

Now I have a stupid question. if I order thru a deal site and get a voucher, I can go to the ticket booth the night before our first park day to exchange for actual tickets right? we get in Tuesday morning and will use that day to hit DTD. We won't be going to DL til Wednesday
Yes.

You can do that or turn in your voucher at the turnstile on Wednesday when you and they will also give you a ticket..

Yes, that is what we are doing! That way we can be there bright and early to use our Magic Morning at 7AM on Saturday. There are not usually long lines at the ticket booths if you hit them during the middle of the day - but first thing in the morning it can be time consuming.

I was told by the travel agent we purchased with that we cannot take our voucher directly to the gate, but had to visit either a ticket booth or if you are checking in at one of the onsite hotels, you can exchange there.

Not all vouchers from 3rd party sites let you take the e-ticket to the turnstile. You have to exchange the e-ticket at the ticket booth.
Your voucher will tell you whether or not you can take it directly to the turnstiles.

So good to know! I've always taken mine to the turnstile, but I buy from the Disneyland site. Thanks. :thumbsup2

I usually too (through my credit union which takes me to a the Disney site with a discounted rate). My cousin bought a ticket from a 3rd party vendor, and we he had to go back to the ticket booth to get his ticket.

What you get from the Disneyland site is an e-ticket - what you get from a 3rd party, such as a travel agent, is a voucher - it has a # on it that they have to look up at the ticket booth, or at the hotels, and then are able to provide your tickets. The e-tickets have a bar code that can be easily scanned at the gate.

I'd hate for someone to wait in line at the gate, only to be told they have to go to the ticket booth - especially if they were trying to get there for rope drop.

I always order my tickets directly off the Disneyland website. They charge $5 to mail them directly to my home. They are paper tickets, usually with a Disney character on one side.

They charge $25 to ship to Canada - so that is why the e-ticket option is so great. I'd love to get the actual tickets though, there is something about getting your actual tickets or APs in your hand that makes you feel like all is right with the world!

I'd rather have an e-ticket or even a voucher because I'm always paranoid I'll lose the tickets or leave them at home.

If you buy from the Disneyland site, you don't even need a piece of paper! You can bring it up on your phone and they will scan and then give you your tickets!!

Good point!! At least with a voucher or e-ticket you can have the email on your smart phone with you!!

I agree. I like that the tickets are emailed to you. If you forget them you can just reprint them, or possibly pull them up on the phone now.
