I Have A Silly ADR Question

Please don't laugh because I really don't know the answer. I called Disney Dining to make an ADR. The CM asked 'what the heck is that?'. I then said Advanced Dining Reservation...Priority Seating....reservation. He then told me that he has worked for Disney for 5 years and has never heard the term ADR (or advanced dining reservation) he also told me he has heard of Priority Seating but Disney has never called it that. I thought ADR's and previously PS's were a Disney term...are they a dis term????

Back when it was Priority Seating, I asked for Priority Seating. I now just ask for a dining reservation. Have never been told they didn't know what I was talking about, that's weird.

ADRs is a DIS term.

Dining reservations used to be called priority seating by Disney.

When WDW first dropped the term Priority Seating (not PS) a few years back, some sites reported the new term was Advanced Dining Reservations. Supposedly WDW called it that too for a few days/weeks. The term was quickly dropped but lives on here.

Not a silly question at all! When we are at LTT last year I checked in at the podium and told them my name and that I had a 2:00 ADR. You would have thought that I had two heads the way the girl looked at me! So I tried Priority Seating, and she just stared blankly and said "Huh?" So I said, "you know, a reservation!" And she said, "oh, okay." So I guess I won't call it anything but a reservation in the world, but on here ADR is a lot easier!

just called yesterday to confirm mine and asked to confirm "my ADR's". She knew what I meant. I always call them ADR's and have never had anyone a Disney (phones or parks) question the term.
