I think..... As I posted before our family needs to sell the DVC contract we own...... once the points are sold, you are NOT considered a member anymore,and your account is closed completely,is that correct?

I have no way of verifying the accuracy of my answer but I would think that once the contract is sold you are not longer a member...just like before you had the contract you were not considered a member...

Here's a thought... if you have the ways and means of purchasing an add on... even as little as 25 or 50 points, you could sell your current contract and would still be a member. As long as you have the same use year(would get that if bought through Disney) and completed purchase prior to selling, you would have same member ID #.
Through banking/borrowing, you could travel every two or three years.
