I booked our May 2003 trip through CRO {room only} I sent in our deposit on the rooms and the girl told me the balance was due at check-in. On monday my DH called to have a AAA discount applied which they did. He asked when he called if he were talking to someone from CRO and he said the girl told him yes. Today we received our confirmation paper showing our new discounted total and it says on there that our balance is due twenty one days prior to arrival. What gives? Is there a whole new policy with a AAA discount? We had one last time and we paid our balance at check-in. Can anyone explain this to me? Or should we call them back? Thank you.

Check the reservation and see if it is booked under a AAA room only PACKAGE. If it is a package then that might be why they are asking for the balance 21 days prior, similar to Disney Club room only packages. If not, then I don't know why it would be due 21 days prior, we have only run into this when dealing with WDWTC, never with CRO. If it doesn't make sense I would call back and ask them why.

I justed call througj Disney Club card and asked, if I book room only with the AAA discount when is the balance on my total stay due, she said "upon arrival' . I paid mine this year 5 days prior to arrival, that is how I was told to do it. I would call again to try and get the right naswer but then again you could get a different answer then you did earlier:D

Thanks for the quick responces carrieberry and Gail T AGAIN. I checked the paper and it does say AAA Room Only Package. This isn't how I originally booked and I wanted the balance due at check-in just in case something happens. If I call CRO will they change it back? Also I'm hoping for another discount or to buy an AP so could I just wait until I call then to ask to have it changed back or do you think it's so important it should be done now? Thank you so much.

It doesn't hurt to call and see if they can book it at a AAA rate without the package. I would call ASAP just for the peace of mind and so you know what your dealing with! Good Luck and please let us know what happens!

Definitely plan to call and straighten it out before your confirmation says the balance is due. If Disney is expecting the balance and doesn't get it by the due date, they may cancel your reservation all together.

Of course, May 2003 is quite a while from now, so in your position, I'd wait and hope for codes or AP rates, too. But if I didn't get something by April, I'd definitely call! Good luck!
