My question is can we do this we did not book a package already spent about $700.00 or so for airfare and hotel we are going for are honeymon and we are going in 4 weeks and staying for 5 days at the all star music resort all the five days I was doing a budget do you think we can stay under $3000.00 for the whole trip oh and we got park tickets for a gift so that's not a issue. and we don't eat a whole lot we did do some PS and we are doing the Lulau one night while there so that part is taken care of but I still want to stay under 3000.00 because we had to pay for our wedding ourselves so we don't have much of a honey moon account. so any help will be nice.

Thanks
Trista

I think it can definately be done. You've already got a great start. Just keep at it.

:)

If I understand correctly, you spent $700 on airfare and hotel leaving you $2300 to spend for other things. And the park tickets were free so that is covered. You will be more than fine. We just got back three weeks ago from 6 nights at Wilderness Lodge and the whole trip cost just over $2000 and that included room, tickets, meals and souvenirs.

Enjoy and have a great Honeymoon, DW and I spent our's there too!!

Yeah your correct spent 700.00 on airfare and hotel and the tikets are already bought and some other stuff I got so I thank you you for you all's advice it is greatly apprechaited also forgot that this will be my first time going to WDW and kinda My FH second he went when he was younger. so this is all very new to me. and I am so excited to be going

With that kind of budget, for only 5 days, do yourself a big favor. Go to www.disneyworld.com, on-line they are offering AKL, a deluxe resort starting about $129 a night. You will truly enjoy all the resort has to offer. You can see different animals, you have choices of restuarants other than fast food, as well as bars and lounges. You should have more than enough money to do that, and still enjoy everything you want to do. Since your on your honey moon, indulge yourself with a real resort. Since you said you did not book a package, any deposits on the hotel can be transfered to your new ressie when you call an cancel your old one. And you very well could still have money left over at the end of your trip.

Are you using a code to lower your All Star bill?? If not check this out.Check to see if there is a code that will give you a discounted rate.

Have a water plan, florida water smells bad, like sulfur. WDW bottled water costs $2.50 ea for a small 8oz bottle, which is bottled in FL.,too. And will bust any budget especially in hot water.
and to make water raste better take a Lipton Cold Brew Iced Tea Bag & stick it in the bottle, then shake it up for a bit. Or Koolade or suger free drink mixes.

1.If you have a rental car or a town car service with a grocery stop you can buy AquaFina[not bottled in FL.] bottled water.
2. You can buy 2 Britta Sports bottle called Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle. You can read more about it at this site

When eating Counter service try to eat at ones like Pecos Bill that have a self serve condiment bar, with lettice, tomatoes, pickles and such as you can use these things as a salad instead of burger toppings.
also try sharing a double burger by making 2 open face 1 patty burgers!
You can use these menes to find out about the counter service cafes and to see what a meal costs!!

Live it up. $2,300 with tix, air, and hotel done is a generous budget for five days. I'd agree with upgrading the room. Or living it up.

Or here's an idea I'd jump on if I were you: It sounds like, unless you need a car for the week, all you need is food and shopping. $1,300 should cover that with quality. Put the other grand in an Xmas account and start planning your one year anniversary trip!

Congrats and enjoy the trip. My wife and I will be there about the same time. We'll be the couple sitting at the Rose and Crown four straight nights....

Maybe we will see you pat elliott we are also getting the ears to wear so we will get good stuff I heard. if not the bride and groom pins I not sure if FH will be willing to wear the ears or not we will see;)

Congrats on your near future wedding! I agree with all everyone has mentioned. Although, if you are just starting out and money is tight, I'd stay with the original All Star plan, if you will be spending a lot of time in the parks. If you are planning on spending a ton of time at the resort then you might want to upgrade. Consider joining Connections for food vouchers (the feature lunch can be a nice early dinner especially if used at places like the Concourse at CR) and you'll have nothing to lose with the $1.00 trial membership. If you have DC, AAA or Amex you can get a discount on the Luau. When we got married we had to pay for everything ourselves and there wasn't any money left over for a honeymoon ( we saved for a Disney trip the next year). We sayed off-site, and our biggest regret then was that we didn't stay at a Disney resort. Now we are much more settled. Things take time. Enjoy your wedding and your honeymoon, and your years together saving up for whatever means the most to the two of you!;)

Oh my gosh! If you are staying at the All Stars you will have plenty of money! $2300 for food and hotel is VERY generous. I agree, try to get a better resort with one of the discounts available. It is a special occaision and you should be able to do it with the discount codes. Even if you want to stay at All Star, there are discounts for those too (except ASMo.)

I agree either upgrade, or put the extra money away for next year.

I just up graded are room instead of paying the extra money so we can save for our 1 year and go all out so I am happy about that :Pinkbounc so I can't wait to be there  thanks for all the advice there is relly nice people here :D

Great choice, make sure you let somebody at the resort know that it is a special occasion. (Preferably a couple of days before you check in) You might (50-50 chance) end up with a surprise. Maybe a free upgrade on the room, or something else. Where did you decide to stay? Congratulations and have a wonderful time!

we decided to stay where we we before the all star music they just upgraded the room to perfered instead of what we had before I whated to stay at CB but they are renovating so I just decided to stay where we were. oh and it is already noted that we are on are honeymoon but thanks for that sugesstion.;)

Trista, if you go to disneyworld.com you will also see that the port orleans french quarter resort is available at a great rate! It's $89 or $99 per night. It's supposed to be a really romantic place, AND they have king beds available :)

go here:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/index

and click on the red box that says VACATION SAVINGS. It's on the left side. There are some great deals! I don't know what you're spending for the all stars, but it's worth an extra $200-300 to upgrade. BUT, I have heard on the resorts board that the upgrade to preferred at the all stars just means you're closer to the food court & check in & it may not really be worth it :)

I hope that wasn't confusing!

Please.....

We have went at least 10 times over the years and have stayed for anywhere from 6 nights to 9 nights and have Never spent Over $3,000. It is all up to you and what YOU can afford and can live without....Lodging and Food will eat you up alive in expense if YOU let it!!

My 2 bits:
We are going Dec 7 for 5 nights, our total: Air, Wilderness Lodge, Rental Car, Park Tickets no food tho is 2100 for 3 people. Well, four but the fourth is free! (baby) We too have never spent over 3 k for a WDW vacation and usually stay five days, then go to my inlaws for a few days. I agree, you should try to go to a mod, I was quoted 85 bucks a nite...
Have a ball!
