Ok, I have never been to WDW and we are going in April, YAY!!!! I have a question ( I will not call it stupid since I believe no question is a stupid question), but what is "The Rope Drop" that everyone talks about? Thank you!

After the park opens, you can only get to a certain point. Then when the rides officially open up the CM will drop the rope to let you get to the area of the rides...

Basically it is like park opening. I think it used to be that guests would be let onto main street before the park completely opened, and CM's stood at the paths to the lands with a rope blocking it off. At a certain time they would drop the rope and their would be a mad stampede for the popular rides. Because of the madness of this, they started walking the rope backward for a while to slow the crowd down. I don't know if they still let you into main street early now, but I believe when most posters talk about getting to the park for "rope drop" mean they want to get to the park to be there when it opens to get to rides before the crowds.
