I have a question for those who have met Elsa

Does her wig look more natural in person? In all the pictures I've seen of her, it just looks so fake. I think Disney needs to get in touch with the Game of Thrones costume designers to learn how to do silver-ish hair well.

Agreed on those ladies. I always just stare at the hair wondering why it's so wrong.

Elsa's does look bad in photos- haven't met her.

Elsa came to my dd bday in January in a $15 amazon wig and looked better than what I've seen posted of her in wdw as far as convincing hair wise.

GOT characters are in makeup for hours. You can't expect disney to spend that amount of time on making up their princesses. I do think the wigs are meant to look a bit "cartoony", as are the outfits and the makeup. They're playing animated characters, not real life celebrities.

I was on Anna's side of the room so I paid more attention to her, but I didn't notice Elsa's wig being awful. I had more of an issue with Rapunzel's and Jasmine's wigs.

My guess is the op was concerned not for herself but her kids.

Yes after spending 4-5 hours in line I can see someone being concerned about her hair . Do you really want to stand that long only for your kid to get there and be disappointed bc they realize its not really Elsa bc it's clearly a wig?

I imagine most of the littles willing to wait this long full on believe these are real princesses and it would suck for that to be thrown off due to bad hair.

Now if someone is worrying about for themselves- yes I'd agree it would be weird to endure that line and be concerned what they look like.

But I get not wanting your kid let down bc if they figure out ones not real they'll realize none are.

And I saw first hand a party this weekend how upset they get.

The bday girl turned away from Elsa with a frown- of course she had silver not white hair, was super tan, didnt know the words to let it go and had a nose ring.

Lol.

You could hear the kids all exclaiming all those above things (and parents too lol).

We parents decided she really just became herself after getting out of the Ice castle. Vacayed on an island (tan) rebelled against her royal upbringing (nose) and I guess the silver hair was a hipster thing?

Kids were not happy at all.

So yes I'd be concerned about this before I throw a day away in line.

My daughter didn't notice the wigs. It looks about the same as any other princess wig. She did notice that on the Anna/Elsa doll, Elsa's hair was "yellow not white"

Her dress was so beautiful we barely looked at her hair. Also, I found those two to be some of the most fun characters to interact with, and my daughter was over the moon. I didn't catch any of the chatting being so far away, but my daughter's face tells the story.

I just don't agree with this. I've been at Disney for SWW and have seen what the Disney makeup artists can do. Darth Maul, Shaak Ti, Queen Amidala, Ahsoka...amazing job with the costumes and makeup. With how far wig "technology" (?) has come in general, I'd think that Disney would be able to do a better job with it on the characters that guests see every day.

As for the other princesses...I never thought their hair looked too bad, except for Belle's. I know that changing her hairstyle was controversial for some people, but when I first saw the "new improved" Belle, I was happy, because I thought her hair looked more realistic.

I'd never wait 4-5 hours for a character. However, you betcha I'd be disappointed if the character seemed "off." If I'm waiting that long, I want a good show!

We spent quite a bit of time speaking with Anna & Elsa in January. Elsa's hair is odd. The color is fine, the cut style is strange close up, but I thought the same in the movie. Lol

It really didn't matter because both were utterly charming. Lovely girls. ;-)

We were rewatching the movie on Friday, and it occurred to me that the back of her head looks like it's in an 80s feathered style. LOL.

It's good to know that the character interaction is good. I think that my kids will be distracted by the dress anyway. I was just curious how the wig comes off in person since it looks so odd in all the pictures I've seen.
