Thou shalt not tell the truth to thine relatives. Thou must pussyfoot around and cater to all their desires and pronouncements, regardless of how thou really feelest about them. Thou shalt speak diplomatically and gently with them all times and never lose thine temper (regardless of how they behavest), even if most reasonable people think they would deserve to be blasted or at least told the truth. Thou shalt expect relatives to "butt into" situations that they have no business butting into and to profanely express their unhappiness with thine actions while they becometh highly indignant if thou respondeth in kind.
