I have a March UY, and just bought some points direct today.

They banked them for me. If I have a March trip to this home resort, can I have them use these banked points instead of some current UY (‘22) points that I used when I booked the reservation.

If I can, I could then bank those points I originally used. I didn‘t ask the CM I just used to bank, because she wasn’t sure I COULD bank the new points. So, I figured she may not know the answer to this question.

You can do it yourself since points are banked. . Just go in, modify the current make sure the contract you just bought is also checked..along with the ones you originally used, and it will pull all banked points into the trip once you follow all the way to the end.

I have tried to modify twice now, and it says there’s a problem. I will try tomorrow.

They have taken our money, but there has been nothing signed. We were told it will come electronically. Since you all say it can be done, I will wait until we have signed what we must, and then try and call. Maybe I am just too quick.

Yes, that’s the answer, the papers will come to our house, not electronically. We have a new guide, he just called us up.

Did you try modifying again Bobbi? I think that was just a website glitch vs not having paperwork done. I ran into it once this weekend as well. Waited a few minutes and tried again. That should probably be a notation with everything on the DVC website.

We bought 100 VGF points direct 5 years ago and had to waitlist to get them since VGF was no longer being sold.

Once we were offered a contract, we had two weeks to accept or reject. If we'd turned it down, we couldn't waitlist again.

No idea what the qualifications are, if any, to waitlist a sold out resort. We did see people remark later that they were told it wasn't done, but I don't know if they wanted VGF or somewhere else.

Possibly that we wanted VGF and no other, having had no luck finding a resale, and said we'd just keep shopping resale if Disney couldn't help us had some effect. No idea. Maybe our guide saw a couple of desperate suckers?

I expect that everything VGF is in a holding pattern prepping to sell once the new resort studios are ready for that step. Pointless now even to ask about waitlisting, I'd bet.
