Target is an evil store. Something happens to me when I drive by it. All of the sudden, my brain starts screaming that I need socks. Then my arms suddenly start turning my steering wheel like I have no choice in the matter.
All of the sudden, i'm floating out of my car into the store.......

....the next thing I know, I'm in my apartment staring at bags and a receipt for $83 from Target. I don't remember a thing. And the weirdest part? No socks!!!! :confused3

I'm calling a priest....

I could wander around that store for hours!

Okay, now that I have the right thread! :)

As I was saying.... Last night we went to Target for a small toy for Dd ($10) and walked out with $130 worth of stuff. I don't know what happens when we get there.

When I was buying formula there, I wouldn't walk out with less than $100 worth of stuff. Now, I'm doing a little better. But, no matter what I always buy way more than I should.

$83 whole dollars? Must be nice.
Today I innocently wander in for just 2 things. Paper towels and Laundry detergent.

:earseek: :earseek: $282 later I'm loading a dozen or so bags into my car
and have decided to swear off doing any more laundry!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: I went to Target today to get shin guards for ds's soccer practice. $94 later..... and that was a quick trip, we had only 20 mins to spend there before leaving for soccer practice! I really miss SuperTarget though (we moved).

I think they put something in the air ducts there.
I went today to return an item and walked out spending twice as much. That one stop shopping kills me!

Any store that I can buy scrapbook items, slimfast, t-shirts and CD's has to be best store in the world!!!

I live less than a mile from Target... it's right down the road from my apt complex.

Very dangerous. :guilty:

I'm also a victim of this....Target is the only store I can go into and stay there for hours. I think they must spray something in the air....

They only check my ID if my check is under $100. :)

i have the same problem! when on vacation i ran into a target to buy a bottle of water and i even ended up buying other stuff!!!

Target isn't close to me...so when I go, I buy everything in sight, because I never know when I'm going back!

I was shopping with a friend at Target several years ago, she was getting ready for a party and we picked up a couple last minute little things and the total was only like $8. The clerk looked at her jokingly and said "I am sorry, but you didn't meet the $50 cover charge". We got a GOOD laugh out of that one. It's a good thing we don't have a Target near us!

That's why I love Target (but my checkbook doesn't). :)

My DH has asked me if Target can just get my paycheck deposited into their account since they get it anyway.

We have a new one going in near us. I have never gone to one before. Can you tell me about it? Walmart is our store like that. I can never go in there for one thing, I walk out with a whole cart of stuff. So is it similar to Walmart?

I used to have that problem, but I've found the cure. You see, the trick is that you need to have two young children who ride in the red thing that attaches to the front of the cart, and the older one needs to bite the younger one, which will make the little one scream his head off unless you hold him while you push around the cart with the 100-pound attachment on the front of it that seats two children. (Of course, the attachment is no longer needed, since you're holding one child, but that's too bad because you're not going to waste any time going back to the front of the store to change carts.) You'll get in and out of Target in no time flat. :rotfl:

DH thinks I'm nuts because when he watches one or both of the boys by himself, I spend my free time at Publix or Target.
