We have ressies at the Cal. Grill on our anniversay (20th!!)
to coincide with the fireworks. However, looking at a menu there isn't a whole lot that appeals to me. I don't eat fish, mushrooms or nuts. Where else (beside V&A) would be a nice spot? Is there another restaurant that has views of the fireworks? I chose that because I thought it might be romantic, but if you have other suggestions, please fire away!!!!

I'm not really sure, but does 'Ohana have a view of the fireworks? That might be a nice spot. I know that I had the same problem with California Grill. Our friends love it there, but my dh and really didn't find a lot we liked. A little too trendy for us.

How about Narcooses at the GF? We ate there in 2000 and the food was excellent as was the atmosphere.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

phorsenuf...did you mention your food preferences to the CM when you made the PS? If not, call back and ask the CM to add the food restrictions to your PS. I made a PS for V&A, and mentioned to the CM that I am allergic to seafood. I made that comment because, after reviewing several V&A menus (everyday is a little different depending on fresh market availability), I noticed many seafood dishes. The CM made a note on our PS, and told me the chef would contact us a couple of days prior to our PS to discuss the severity of the allergy, and to help plan a menu I could eat and enjoy.

I have also read several other threads of people mentioning food aversions or choices, and the chefs at any restaurant working with them to provide a work class meal within their diet restrictions.

Good luck and enjoy you anniversary dinner!

they have a great fillet of beef & there pork is wonderfull.

One time when we ate there I ordered the Pasta special & it had BEETS all over it-YUK!! I quess I made a face- The waiter said I bet you don't like beets, I said yup. The kitchen made me a new dish no problem.

So I quess what I am saying is they will work with you. I agree that calling ahead might help. go & enjoy it is a great place to celebrate. We will be in OCT-14th:D
