I have a confession to make....

I've always mocked country music. I'm a city girl born and bred. I was born south of the Mason-Dixon, but not much (DC).

So lately I've been listening to a local country music station and (ugh, I can't believe this)....I LIKE it.

I owe an apology for every smirk, snicker and eye roll.

I like the honest nature, the fact that the songs tell a story and the wholesomeness of the stuff I've heard. That one song "Watching You" about the little boy wanting to be like his dad...OMG, fantastic!

So that's my confession...hope you all still respect me.

I listen to mostly classic heavy metal and classic rock.

But if you look at my MP3 player, I do have Garth Brooks' Ultimate Hits album loaded on there, along with a bunch of theme songs from 80's tv shows, Monty Python and Ray Charles.

So I guess my confession is that I'm a musical weirdo.

I like different genres of music. One of the reasons I really like country music is because the wholesomeness and down to earth subjects. Watching You is one of my songs and Rodney Atkins is a very good family man.

3.George Strait
4. Dolly Parton
