I've always mocked country music. I'm a city girl born and bred. I was born south of the Mason-Dixon, but not much (DC).

So lately I've been listening to a local country music station and (ugh, I can't believe this)....I LIKE it.

I owe an apology for every smirk, snicker and eye roll.

I like the honest nature, the fact that the songs tell a story and the wholesomeness of the stuff I've heard. That one song "Watching You" about the little boy wanting to be like his dad...OMG, fantastic!

So that's my confession...hope you all still respect me. :flower3:

I am rith there with you. Growing up I would rather go deaf than hear Country music. Now I love it.

It's okay Lara, we forgive you... THIS TIME!

I listen to mostly classic heavy metal and classic rock.

But if you look at my MP3 player, I do have Garth Brooks' Ultimate Hits album loaded on there, along with a bunch of theme songs from 80's tv shows, Monty Python and Ray Charles.

So I guess my confession is that I'm a musical weirdo.:rotfl:

Good music is good music whatever form. ;)

Me, classic rock, pop and even disco. I grew up on country though.

I like different genres of music. One of the reasons I really like country music is because the wholesomeness and down to earth subjects. Watching You is one of my songs and Rodney Atkins is a very good family man.

It's kind of hard to avoid country music around here, but I do try.:rotfl: I think there are only a handful of country artists that I can stand:
1.Garth Brooks
2.Travis Tritt
3.George Strait
4. Dolly Parton
5. Reba McEntire

Me, too! But I also have 70's & 60's tv theme songs.

I really like Country - used to dance to it .... a lot ... in my younger, less responsibility years. :)

I found a CD in my car the other day I forgot I had. It's a bunch of 'lullabies' I put on a CD for DS.
1. Lullabye--Creed (I think that's the name of the song)
2. La La Lu--Lady and the Tramp
3. Candle on the Water--Pete's Dragon
4.Dreams to Dream--American Tail 2:Fieval Goes West
5. The Rainbow Connection--Kermit the Frog
6.Bella Notte--Lady and the Tramp
7. Return to Pooh Corner--???
8. Bright Eyes--Watership Down
