I have a BIG SWA Credit

When I booked for my friend the price dropped and he has a credit of $540.00 which he says he is not going to use, and they won't credit it back to his credit card because he originally booked a fun fare and then changed to Internet fare, anyway... has anyone had luck with ebay to get 85% - 95% of it back? Anyone here interested? I just think with ebay by the time you pay all your fees on that type of price you are losing a fair amount of it (listing fees, FV fess and paypal fees)... anyway just looking for opinions on what to do with this. Must be used by 10/16/07 but they said they will extend it 6 months if needed so I guess April 16th is when it could expire.

What are the limitations with the credit. We will be flying Southwest from Buffalo on October 3 , return on the 13( 6 people). Can you apply the credit to any flight? And what about cancelations?

This credit can be applied on the flight out but your travel must be completed by the 11th unless I get an extension. It can be applied to anyone all you do it put the confirmation number and the name on the spaces provided and add the funds to your flight.
I have used other peoples credit before with no problem, but I am not going during this time period

the last few years when I have had a credit, I called the direct line to dallas customer service, and money was always put back on my credit card. Is he calling the toll free line? They arent able to credit when you call there. Perhaps policy has changed?

I have always been able to get the money back too but I called the long distance number and was told because the fun fare was booked first then it was switched to the Internet fare that he could not get the money back. I even talked to a supervisor and it was a no go.
Trust me I tried hard for him.

I sold over $1400 in credit lat year and managed to get 97% of the face value back.
Sure,there is the Ebay charges but it was still better than losing it.
