So! Right now i'm sitting on my couch waiting for my mom to come home so that she can take me to target because I don't want to waste my gas money driving up there. But on another note--today I got my baby for Child Development. So far she's been pretty good :) She's only cried 4 times since 1:30. I named her Isabella Rose and yea--she's beautiful :) Has anyone else ever had one of these? How did you like it?

mine was broken. she cried over 30 times, but her speaker didn't work, so i never heard it.

needless to say, i didn't do well on that assignment. lol

We didn't get this.

you think in a Catholic school they'd try the scared-straight method :p

I had one of those demon things two years ago. . .I absolutely despised it. Even though it was a baby doll it showed me how un-ready for kids I am. It honestly made me not want any kids for a few months after that. Mine was horrible and I gave up with the thing after like 3 hours. It was malfunctioning too which drove me INSANE! I made my mom take care of it for me. I just scanned the stupid thing with the bracelet we're supposed to wear. Ugh.

*sighs* I got an A on the project though. :)

We were supposed to get them this year. But, because of the economy, we don't. I have to wait till next year

i'm one of the luckky ones... we don't have to do this.

I did it in 8th grade. It was optional, but I decided to do it. I had to take it for a full weekend. It only seemed to cry at night. It was obnoxious. I ended up giving it shaken baby syndrome. Not on purpose, but I guess it's head fell backwards too many times.

I took a half-year of Child Development; we didn't do it.

A friend of mine at dance brought hers the other week (she had no choice).

It cried almost the entire class! We felt so bad for her. She hadn't slept in 3 days, and hers was on from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m.!

wow! Mine is on a schedule! She needs to be fed every 4 hrs and changed every 2 hrs. I'm so sad though cause my parents are going to the movies today and I wanna go really badly but I can't take the baby so i'm just going to my friends house.

I just had one of these!! Mine was a boy and I named him Avery. It wasnt to bad only one time when we went out to dinner I wanted to kill myself because he kept crying but otherwise it wasnt horrible. My best friend Trent dropped it once but i didnt get points marked off so that was also great! Anyways it was ok I got a 96 on it i think.

One class at our school is doing this soon. They've done it for a few years, but they have to take it to class all day so they are allowed to go outside when it starts to cry. They email teachers when the project starts. Lol.

It sounds like fun, but then again, it doesn't.

I had to do it as well in 8th grade... and I ended up hiding it in the garage because it would not stop crying. One of my friends had to contact the teacher over the weekend because the baby cried and would not stop.. I am dead serious. It was sad lol

I've never had to do this. But in 7th grade, I had to take care of a plastic egg with MnMs inside it... and some guy duck taped his, threw it at walls, ran it over with a car, stepped on it, beat it with a baseball bat.. It didn't break until he dropped it on accident. :lmao:

I aced the project, though. :thumbsup2

we were put in couples and had to take care of an egg. we had to name it and decorate it and everything. i went to a pov school

In 8th grade I had a flour sack. All I had to do was bring it home and set it on the table for the rest of the day. Then bring it back to school on time.

:( We dont get to do this.
We dont have a child development class offered.
I WISH WE DID!!

I take Child Development next year, as a sophomore.
We can take it anytime in High school though.
It's a semester long.
Our 'babies' are turned off from 8am til 3pm and they stay in the classroom.

I had this baby in 7th and 8th grade! :)

I had mine for a weekend in 7th grade and in 8th grade, over a long weekend! 4 nights! haha

I actually loved having the baby. it was so much fun!
