I have 2 reservations in my name

And not sure if that will be a problem.

I have booked a 1 br using my points. I have listed myself, dh, db and dn.

A friend booked me (using her points) a 2 br listing me, dh, other db, dsil, and dn.

I arrive before everyone else. I want to be able to check into both rooms so I can have them (hopefully) near each other. (M&D's 45th anniversary trip ) Familiy does not arrive until around 5pm.

Is this a problem with check in having both rooms in my name? Can I change the actual people in them later?

Originally, when we booked, we were not sure who was going to be in what rooms and we just made the reservations. But since it is next month thought about this and wanted to make sure I won't have a problem or have enough time to make the changes.

I will be a problem if you are using the DDP, as everyone listed on the ressie will need to pay when you check-in, and if your name is there, you'll be paying twice.

Whether on the DDP or not, I would change the names to the actual occupants of the respective rooms, so once you check in they can print the proper room keys. If you really want to check in for both rooms, you only need one of the names, not both your's and your DH on both rooms.

However, while it may save a little time, I've never put my name on my guests reservation, and we've always had villas near each other (as we requested on the confirmations). In fact, we had two studios right next door to each other at OKW in June. The front desks often blocks rooms for those "near each other" type requests, so it shouldn't be a problem whether you check in for them or not...simply show the CM both confirmations when you check-in and repeat your request to be near each other at check-in...again, most times when we've requested this the rooms were pre-blocked for us before we arrived at the resort.

I was very recently told by MS that my name could not be on the same reservation for the same dates. I had a one at WL and at BCV because I actually wanted to stay at BCV during New Year's Eve rather than return to VWL that same night.

So I had to switch names around.

We aren't doing DDP, but this will make room keys easier to get and check in smoother.

Having your name and your DH's name on two reservations could also be a problem if anyone is using Magical Express.

And anyone who is in line behind you at check in will appreciate that you decided to get the names corrected now. Check in can seem like forever if the CM has to add and delete names (and contact info) before issuing room keys. It seems even longer if you have to wait while someone else's reservation is straightened out!
