I erally really hate to ask this question, and I scoured the boards and Disney's website. Has the Dessert Party opened up past Aug 14th yet?

I'm sorry if this question has been answered!

I don't know, but I'd like to hear the answer too. I'd love to book in early October.

I called just yesterday for Aug 21-31, but nothing yet...I will be teary - eyed if they don't extend it! I have been calling about 2-3 times a week about this since it first came out this year...I will post on here first if i hear anything.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't extended...I don't know why they just don't go ahead and make it a permanent thing already.

Oh yum! Dessert party? Where is that at? And is it on the dining plan? Any people who have gone and have pics?

We did the desert pary twice last December and my wife and I LOVED it. I thought they were doing some renovation work on the area earlier this year to make it a permanent fixture but I guess I was mistaken. We have another anniversary trip this December and plan to go 2 or 3 times again if they extend it. The viewing area is great, especially if the park is crowded. We were lucky enough to get tables closest to the castle each time and didn't even need to stand at the railing. We are big fans but some folks think its not worth it. There are sections devoted to it on the main DIS page as well as a nice review with pictures on Allears. I'm sure other places as well.

I know, you'd think it would be a cash cow for Disney!

Yep, it's at the Magic Kingdom, in the "seasonal" Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace. It's roughly $25/pp and in the low 20's for kids (I think, I don't recall, DD was under 3 and free last time.) We went last October, it was great. Desserts were great, it was fun just to pig out on an array of desserts! The Wishes viewing couldn't be beat, either. I wish I had pics! I know there are some pics floating around the DIS somewhere!

ITA. I thought the same thing about the renovations-- why else would they renovate the area? We were lucky enough to get a good table too, but I don't think there was really a *bad* one.

I do have to agree though... if you're not that into desserts, it might not be worth it. It was for us!! :lmao: MMMMMM.... Chocolate!

We are booked for August 1st and wondering if we will be able to watch the Eletrical Parade from here too ? Also, do you get a better table the earlier you show up ?

I heard you are not able to watch the Electrical Parade from there. It's too far away.
I wish the dessert party will extend too. I will go there in Dec.:worship:

You can see the parade but it's at a distance & with so many people standing along the parade route, you're really only seeing the top half of the floats.

When we arrived in December, the tables were already assigned w/ our name tag on it & we were led right to it. So no it doesn't matter when you show up, but may matter in what order reservations are made? :confused3

We were actually very late in making our reservations, because I was still a bit bitter that I was being forced to "pay" for the one place we always chose as our "free" viewing spot, but I finally gave in & booked it. We ended up having a great view even though it was more in the back, just fantastic service, I thought the CMs were exceptionally accommodating & friendly & it was just a really fun way to enjoy Wishes. It was actually the hit of the vacation for everyone in the family & the #1 request I got for our trip in November so I hope they extend it.

I went in May and it was fabulous. I know it did not matter what time you arrived, the tables were already assigned. We had a great spot. The tables for 2 were in front.

I hope they extend it to the end of August. I noticed it has ended the same day as the Summer Fireworks, which I hope they extend too. Gee the summer doesnt end until after Labor day and there are a whole lot of families that travel that same time every year. I would love to see it.
