Then enter your search terms (words, not user names). Let us know if you get return values back.
We'll you're having a very unique problem. I have three computers that I use (laptop, desktop, wife's desktop), alternatively, and all three return results for me, as does my computer at work (which I typically do not use). You'll need to post a message on the Technical Support board, so one of the webmasters can help you figure out what setting on your browser is messing things up.
You were searching for "tigger suspended" -- try searching for "tigger suspension". The title of the thread is "Idiot teenager causes CM Tigger suspension".Great. Ok. Hummm-dee-dummmm.... Ok, I am getting some results.
Try this:

Where's my thread about "Idiot Teenager gets Tigger CM Suspended"?
I use the subscription mechanism to keep track of threads I'm actively posting in. I don't see an advantage for me for using Search for that over using subscription. While I don't have any technical problems, I'm wondering how you search for all the threads you've posted on , not the one's you've started using the current search mechanism. Without subscribing to all.

It cannot find what you're looking for if you use different words in the search than are in the message!![]()

Search isn't a bandwidth issue, for information systems. It's a CPU capacity issue.
Search may now not do what you want it to do, but I, personally, have found it to be far superior to the old functionality. As a matter of fact, it does exactly what I have been asking for for years. While I appreciate that that doesn't address your needs, please don't imply that my needs, now fully satisfied, don't exist, by saying that the Search is "completely unusable."

Kejoda, I just saw your ticker (probably would have seen it earlier but I can't stalk anymore) CONGRATULATIONS
Wow, I didn't realize I was going to start such a fervor! Do we have a picketing smiley? But seriously, I wish a moderator would come on board and explain what we should do to remedy it. You can't tell me they haven't seen this thread.

Many search tools (such as Lucene, the one my product uses) prioritize search terms close to each other, and only display results which reach a certain level of match. The word "suspended" is on page 16 of the thread
I can take it!AHA! So, all of us who hate it now can blame you then!

I want the old "New Posts" search back. The new one sucks. I hate that dog at this point.
