I have used ME a lot in the past year and the past two trips have had the cheap tags. Before there was a slip on each tag to neatly take off and then the ends fit together around the luggage handle. Now I have to cut one of the ends or the tag doesn't roll and it is just one big sticker. I wish that both ends had the nice cut off end.

I know that this is minor problem, but it is still a pain.

I have Magical Express tags for an upcoming trip. The tags are no longer bound inside the Magical Express booklet.

In my case, the tags are 16" x 2" each. There are two tags per sheet, so the sheet needs to be split down the middle, the long way.

The backing on each tag says "Remove this portion only" at each end. There's a 3" section of backing at each end that can easily be removed. Then it's just a matter of putting the tag through a suitcase handle and pressing the two exposed adhesive sections together. The tag is then on the suitcase securely.

In other words, in my case, there's nothing to cut, and the tags work just as they did in the past.

Perhaps you received tags that were printed on stock with missing or incorrect cuts on the backing. I assume that was an anomaly, and not a new "cheap" design.

I'm looking at my leftover tags from my trip last week they are about 18" inches long and have a portion on each end about 3" long that says remove this portion only....they work just fine. Identical to the tags the airlines use....

We just used ours and this is how ours were also.
