I hate that I'm asking about FP+ but....

It seems that every post about FP+ is very Loooonnnnggg not complaining, I just have a simple question(s):

Can anyone direct me to a link or a website that just has the FP+ facts? I am going in September and I will be staying offsite, so I simply want to know, will I be able to utilitze FP+ then or no since I'm not staying on-site? If I can use it, do I have to schedule my FP+ rides in the park when I get there or will I be able to do that online before my vacation (like I can schedule ADR's 180 days out). I understand that you get 3 a day and it only allows you to use them in 1 park so if you are park hopping, the 3 FP+ rides all have to be in the same park.

I KNOW these questions have been answered in previous posts, but to be honest, I have looked for a few days while it is helpful to read up on the posts, I'm still confused and simply want those two general questions answered without having to scan through 300 posts.

As of right now, if you are entering on regular tickets (not an AP, APs have different rules whether or not they had an onsite stay yet)...Anyway, you would book your 3 FPs at the kiosks after you enter the park, for same-day use. And yes, one park, 3 only.

By September, things might change. By the next hour things might change!

YAY! This helps out A LOT! I just couldn't seem to find out the plan if I were staying offsite, so this is great! We are going at the end of September, the crowds are usually pretty low at this time anyway so I'm not terribly worried about it. I figure we would get there at rope drop, schedule our FP for the day and then hit the park we are staying at. I'll keep watching for changes....
I'm actually hoping that I will be able to schedule online before then, but I can completely see the reason's for NOT doing this
