I hate strawberries!

There! I said it. I hate strawberries. I know they're almost universally loved and most of you probably think I'm a freak. But I hate them. Hate the way they taste, hate the way they smell, hate those nasty little seeds.

Why am I telling you this? Because last night a good friend of mine claimed that I had to be the only person in the world who hated strawberries. 'There are people who can't eat them because of allergies,' she said, 'but to just not like them is weird!'

So, any fellow strawberry haters out there? Or am I really all alone in my dislike of the seedy red menace?

He likes strawberry FLAVORED things, but not the berries themselves.

Don't feel bad about not liking them. I am apparently un-American because I HATE cheeseburgers. I like HAMburgers. (I also don't really like cheese on sandwiches and I HATE yellow/white American cheese.)

I love strawberries but I hate melon. I do not eat watermelon, honeydew, cantalope, etc....yuck.

I also like HAMburgers however I love cheese. Figure that one out.

So I don't like cheeseburgers or watermelon. I am total un-American.

I didn't realize so many others hated cheeseburgers too! Everyone I know looks at me like I have 3 heads! Apparently, I'm not alone.

OP my DD doesn't like strawberries either. She likes the flavor but hate the seeds and won't eat them.

I like strawberries but I do know a few people who can't stand the sight of them. I, on the other hand, am a vegetarian that doesn't care for apples. I feel very odd about that.

My 17 y/o son dislikes them.

I will tell you that I dislike all the "fake" strawberries that are in the supermarkets this days. You know, when you live on the East Coast and these non-smelling, waxy looking things are shipped in from California--they are just not enjoyable. About the only time I eat them now is when I can get them locally grown or if they are in some sort of dessert.

I think I might know why???
Onion rings are made with very mild onions, and then, of course, cooked... which makes them milder.

If you have 'Peru' onions in your area. they are the absolute mildest and best tasting onion... I always, always, buy them. And do not like it when, in late spring into summer I can't find them, and have to buy Vidalia onions instead.

I like onion.
I cook with it.
I put onion on our grilled burgers.
But when we are eating out, I usually can not stand the strong, hot, onions that the restaurants use!

Like strawberries, but like several PP, don't like cheeseburgers. LOVE hamburgers, LOVE cheese... just not together.

Also... don't like tomatoes. I like cooked tomatoes... like spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, etc, but can't stand fresh tomatoes.

I also DO NOT like strawberries...however I love anything strawberry flavored..so I have come to realize it is not the taste but rather the texture of the fruit that I do not like...anyone else with "texture" issues?
