We had our first official blizzard in two years! So far 9" with 3" more at least before it stops! Hope the web cam in port works. Need a littl cheering up. Kathy

I was just at the webcam and you can see the Magic beautifully.

It looks like we dodged the bullet on this storm but there is another coming tomorrow that might be bad. I really need some warm weather. I went to the doctor yesterday because of pain in my toes during the cold weather and he said I had Raynaud's Disease (blood vessels in extremities go into spasms in the cold). So now I need to find thermal socks and stay in the house when it's real cold. I think I'm going to have cabin fever before this winter is over.

We love the snow (hate driving in it though) and we were supposed to get 8" but it just missed us....again! Kids are pretty disappointed. As far as the blistering cold..that I can pass on. The last couple weeks have been too cold (between 10 and 15 for the HIGH) YUK.

...Here we go again...grumble, grumble...another 10 inches of snow...grumble... and single digit temps. I'm tired of this. I want it to stop NOW! This has been one very snowy, cold winter!

I really feel sorry for those in upstate NY, NH, & MA...you folks are really getting hammered this year!

Me too, I've had enough already. I have to walk around in this stuff trying to read water meters. As it is, I haven't been able to find any curb meters for a week now. I keep saying, "After the Spring thaw." But, when will that happen??? ???

The snow already started here, we were first told it wasn't going to start until around noon, my car already has nearly an inch covering on it. Here we "SNOW" again.

DS is having a sleepover I better be able to get the kid home in the morning (he is hoping for a "double"- I am hoping to make it through one night )

It is presently two degrees out with no wind chill factored in,. my weather icon keeps flashing red to let me know a new warning is issued.,.. this is ridiculous!

I feel all of your pain. Here in L.A., we finally had rain last week after being completely dry since December. And it rained for a whole three (count 'em, 3) days! Hard!

Seriously, I don't know how all you people do it. I have long had the motto that snow shouldn't come to me, I should go to snow. I don't like living in snow and I can't stand humidity. Guess that really limits the places I could live. Oh well.

Any minute, if it hasn't already started, I heard maybe up to a foot for NYC.

Well, back from DC...it is 2:00pm Sunday afternnon and it has been snowing for about 12 hours hard. We had snow all day yesterday, but only about 3-5- inches. My DS tells me there is now 18" and The Weather Channel says the heavy show has not moved in yet. the biggest snow in DC on record was 28" in 1922. They are saying we will beat that and I believe it!

The news caster on a local channel was saying when we had this type of Snow in 1966 he did summersaults off his roof into the snow. Well that gave DS13 an idea and I now have 14 teenagers jumping off if my deck into the snow. Thank God for insurance. I guess school will be cancelled for about 1 week.....there goes spring break.

At this rate, we won't see our lawns until April, just in time to start mowing!!!

It's all a game of numbers:

In Philly we have not had any appreciable snow for a few years.

Now the numbers have caught up to us.

I think the forecasters are right. Looking out of the window, I believe 12 to 24 inches is gonna happen.

Leave for the 2/22 Eastern Cruise next Saturday. Can't wait.

Hope we can get out of Philly.

Could you swing by here in Maryland and pick me up. I'll have my self packed in a suitcase. That is if I am able to get out of my driveway by then. They are now calling for 18-36 inches total for the Baltimore region.
