I HATE paypal!

Sorry, but this is your own fault. You should never send an item sold on eBay without using some type of delivery confirmation. If you read and follow the rules, you shouldn't have a problem.

That said, I have been using PayPal since it started, with zero problems. Many reputable online companies use Paypal as a payment option.



How long has it been since you used PayPal? The procedures you described have been required for years.

LOLOL why was that my fault . I got the tracking info. If you read I said I didn't keep it. It had been awhile.

No it hasn't....I have checked and its been over 3 years.

You are lucky. Maybe it depends on the amount. My friend had it happen, but I think the amount was around $300. Paypal didn't report it on her CRAs but the collection agency/junk debt buyer did, and it was years after the fact (so keep checking your CRAs regularly if you don't already). She managed to eventually get it removed, but it was a pain.

When you ship an item, can't you update the transaction details on eBay/Paypal just to include the info right at that point, then not have to worry about keeping it?

Of course. I personally have a postal scale and print shipping labels with delivery confirmation through paypal, so the number automatically gets added to the transaction.

Of course when you get a case, you still have to respond to the case even if the delivery confirmation number has been there all the time. Paypal kind of hopes you don't respond.

I last used them last week without a hassle. I've been getting periodic emails telling me I was getting close to some "limit" without being verified..so no doubt its all my fault. I just can't quite wrap my head around the notion that my $$ has been good enough for nearly a decade without having to give them clearance into my bank account or having to switch out of said account back to the credit card for future transactions.

My irritation with Paypal is that when I transfer funds from my bank account it takes 7 days to show in the paypal account. That in itself wouldn't be half as annoying if it didn't come out of my bank account on the first or second day. So last month I transferred over one thousand dollars to pay for my DVC rental. The money came out of my bank account that morning and it didn't make it into my paypal account for 8 days!
Always makes me nervous.

Me either (knock on wood) I have had great results with them.
