I hate grocery shopping!

Oh My God She hates to cook.
A few years ago she came home from work and was tired and not looking forward to cooking dinner. She said to my dad," You have two choices for dinner, pork chops or ice cream." He's not stupid. He chose the ice cream. My mom still cracks up when he tells that story.

I would have picked the ice cream, too!

Here is the thing, I don't mind cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I actually like doing it. It's the regular day to day cooking that I hate to do, you know the other 364 days of the year.

I can't stand grocery shopping! I actually need to pick up a few things I forgot, but I just don't have the patience for it today.

The worst part is carrying the groceries up to my apartment. The bags are so heavy and I have to do it in a few trips. I wish I could send DH to the store but he ends up spending hundreds of dollars on cheese and condiments.

I'm with you people!
I especially hate putting the groceries away, because then I get a compulsion to clean the fridge and cupboards, and pretty soon putting away the groceries has taken over an hour.

I hate cooking too! well mostly because my kids are like different things, and they're hardly ever all satisfied with a meal.

I don't mind the shopping unless people go with me. Then there is all of this stuff thrown into the cart that I did not intend to buy

Now DH brings the groceries in and DD puts them away. I tell them I went out and hunted and gathered and they'd better make themselves useful

I don't really care for any of it, but the worst part (IMO) is putting it away....AND then I am expected to cook it too....geesh!!

Though since I have been sick with pneumonia dh has been doing all of it...I can't find anything in the cupboards, but at least I didn't have to go get it!

I appreciate your generosity, but I've paid my dues with 3 kids I remember having to leave the grocery store, that was always fun.

I hate it, too. I have started recruiting DH to help with the cooking and the shopping, so it is not as bad as it used to be. I have also started having the girls help more with putting away.

It is insane that we have to touch something like 10 times from buying it until we eat it.

I can relate! I absolutely hate grocery shopping. Usually my DH goes in. I've been in a grocery store about twice in the last 3 months. And cooking? I strongly resist cooking because I don't enjoy it and I'm horrible at it.

I don't mind shopping alone. The only thing worse than shopping with my kids is when my DH tags along, too.

Shopping has never been my favorite thing, but I love cooking, and it really stinks when I start to cook and realize that I don't have the right things in the fridge. Like it or not, the shopping will always be my job.

I just hate parts of it. Right now I'm procrastinating making a the list. We have company coming and I have to figure out what meals to make and what to have on hand. Yuck!

I don't mind the actual trip to the store UNLESS it's RAINING! Triple yuck. There's no easy way to schlep groceries in and out of the rain.

I'm a male and I seriously don't mind doing the grocery shopping.... And I have done it with babies and toddlers hanging all over me....

Why is it that when you go shopping with toddlers, no matter how many times they go potty before you leave, they still have to go when you get there???

And, I work at a Fresh Market..... In produce.........(thanks)...
