We got the code to "upgrade" to BWV studio but I'm getting cold feet about missing WL.

I really need to hear some great things about BWV especially when I read reviews that the rooms need refurbishing - WL rooms are now so comfortable.

There was nothing special about the rooms itself at the Boardwalk. But I LOVED the location of the resort. It was so easy to walk or take the boat to Epcot or MGM My teens could go off on there own since everything was so closed, and we loved the shops and restaurants along the boardwalk as well. We also enjoyed walked over to the Beach Club to rent watercraft and eating at Beaches and Cream. I want to try somewhere new this year, but my kids said "let's just go back to the Boardwalk."

If I had my choice between the Wilderness Lodge or the Boradwalk, I'd take the Boardwalk in a heartbeat.

Because of the location. Just about every evening we're at Epcot. MGM is a walk or a boat ride away. Crescent Lake is so peaceful during the day and active at night (with not a lot of noise in the rooms).

As far as rooms needing to be refurbished, you will find someone somewhere who thinks a room needs to be updated. Our offsite suite was perfect this past weekend but a seat cover had a small slit in it. But I wouldn't say the entire room needed to be refurbished but someone else might be majorly offended.

There is nothing to compare to being able to walk back to your room from Epcot. Nothing. You will LOVE this whole area, and you'll get hooked. Also, if you love pool slides, BW is one of my favorites, soooo fun:thumbsup2 !
