I had to stop listening to the Podcast - ** SPOILER **

No, not forever! I was listening to the DISboards September 9th show on my way to the office, while eating my breakfast and had to stop the show when the topic of bedbugs came on. I just couldn't eat and listen to that and eat at the same time.

Another thing, whenever I hear anyone talk about bugs, I start itching for no reason! Does that happen to you as well?

I hate bedbugs. We've never had them at our house but my poor 80 year old grandparents did. Someone came to visit their apartment and didn't realize she had them...they traveled with her. It cost them hundreds of dollars to have professionals come and steam clean their small space, not including the money they spent on having every article of clothing dry cleaned. It's SO important to check for them wherever you stay before you open your luggage!! Also, if you know that you have bedbugs in your house, PLEASE for the sake of not spreading them around, get rid of them before you go on vacation.

Coincidentally, there was a segment about bedbugs on NPR the other day.

The man said that although it could be costly to get rid of bedbugs, you don't have to spend lots of money on dry cleaning clothes. He explained that simply placing them in a clothes dryer in 120F heat for a while kills off all the bug's life cycles.

I just listened to this right now and I was eating my lunch at the same time too. I was so totally grossed out. I'm glad they brought it up though, I'm going to check my hotel rooms before moving all my luggage in from now. Good PSA. But a totally gross one.

I haven't heard that yet. I generally take a "cross that bridge..." approach to life's smaller problems and don't get too worried or creeped out about stuff.

However, when I found out a kid I sat for had lice, my head began to itch.

Bedbugs are being talked about a lot lately. I wonder why - where it started.
