We tried catching the kitten again tonight. She wouldn't go for food in the carrier, so I pulled out the toy again. DH came out this time (it's about time) and couldn't believe that she came out to me and would play with me. I was standing there with a stray kitten running past me chasing the toy and allowing me to get within 1 foot of her, and not only that she'd approach DH and "C" (the male of the other couple) within 2 feet before turning around. DH just couldn't believe it.
But OH we had so much fun playing with her with the mousie on the string. Finally gave up and brought her food back out of the carrier when she reached the point of panting and breathing fast and heavy. By that point, she was tuckered out. But boy did we have fun!
We left her curled up on a patch of dried grass under a car. She is so sweet and so cute and "T" and "C" are going to make great new parents for her.
Whenever we catch her. Maybe that will be Sunday because we're going to try something else then.
