I had my Grand Floridian Bridal Tea/Shower today!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my amazing experience at the Grand Floridian Garden View Tea Room today! My MOH had planned the whole thing (although it was not a surprise) and it was just....amazing! Here's a few pics:

Just arrived - MOH gave me a pin that says "Bride to be"

She also got me a robe from Victoria's Secret that says Bride on the back in rhinestones!

My "platter" came with sparkling wine...

Tea sandwiches: 5 different kinds, cucumber, shrimp salad, chicken salad, egg salad, and grilled pear. There was also a carmelized onion tart and a pâté, which did not taste good at all, but the sandwiches were all very good!

Our waitress suprised me with a lovely rose!

Dessert tray:

My platter came with a trifle, which was so delicious!

We also had scones and strawberry tarts, but we forgot to take a picture.

And finally, me being silly...

I recommend this to everyone! It was so much fun!

That looks like it was so much fun! I debated doing one too, but decided just to go to the tea with DH later. We really enjoyed it, and I instantly regretted not doing one for a wedding event!

That looks like so much fun. I just talked to my mom about doing this with all the gals coming to my wedding the Friday before rather than having a shower. That way all the out of town people can be there as well - and she said great idea I can't wait!

There really was no per person type cost, it was just like ordering off of a regular menu. The teas were between $6-7, it had an a la carte menu and those items ranged anywhere between $6 and $15, and then it had 5 different...combo platter things? I don't know what they were called but they were different combinations of the a la carte menu items, like sandwiches and cheeses and scones, etc. 2 of them came with champagne/sparkling wine. Those ranged anywhere between $23 and $38. HTH!

I'll be hosting a ladies' tea there in ONLY TWO WEEKS the day before my wedding for the whopping 8 other women attending our nuptials. I can't wait!

Looks Amazing. and seems like you had a blast. One of the things that sold me on a disney wedding was the tea party. I really want to throw a mad hatter tea party and all my relatives are actually so excited about it.

Thank you everybody for all of your kind words. I told my MOH that she could do whatever she wanted for my bridal shower, and then one day we were talking about it and I mentioned the tea at the GF, and then she started laughing because she said she already WAS planning on some kind of tea thing, but the GF sounded much better. Only it was supposed to originally be a surprise....but we've been best friends for 11 years so...we kind of know each other a little too well! I really didn't know what to expect because I've never done this type of thing, but I did know that I did not want a "traditional" type of bridal shower. This was just incredible and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
