I had a good cry just now...

The first time I heard Kenny G Auld Lang Syne Millenium Mix my son was about 2 weeks old and I was wrapping Christmas presents on the floor while he sat in his bouncy seat sleeping, that song came on and I just totally cried hysterically and had goosebumps the entire time.

Tonight, I heard the same song by Kenny G now called Freedom Mix and the same thing happened, except my little boy was cooking pretend food and saw me crying on the sofa and just climbed up in my lap and sat with me and listened and did not say a word. After it was all over he told me what I had to do to wipe my tears away and gave me a kiss and hopped back down and finished cooking his food.

There are so many emotional events mentioned in that song. We have about 33 Christmas CD's in the player right now and they are all on shuffle so I never know when that song was going to come on.

I have that cd and I can't bring myself to listen to that song. Just the beginning of the song gets me crying.

Yea, I have a few. Out of the blue, I will start to shed a tear and DH, just looks at me. I know if I start to tell him, then I will cry harder.

Yes. I will always love you by Whitney houston. In 1995 when my grandma died that song came on when they started to wheel her out and till the day I die I will believe it was her that played that song for all us who were there. So everytime I hear it I start crying like a baby.

I have too many to name that make me cry. One song that was popular when I was pregnant with my dd was Bette Midler's Wind Beneath My Wings. I used to sing it to my belly when I'd hear it on the radio. I'd start squalling around the 2nd line of the song. I thought it was just hormones that did it to me, but 10 1/2 years later, I still squall when I get to the 2nd line.
