I had a Budget Day!

Thought I would share the budget day I had. My DS(16) took my truck keys to school with him. When did I discover this, right before I had to take
DS(11) to school. Hubby couldn't help, he was out of town. Everyone else in the our family, was already at work. No money in my wallet for a cab. He doesn't qualify for bussing.

We walked the 2 miles to school(where I had to write a note for why he was late). Then I walked the 2 miles back home. I guess I saved money not using gas in the truck.

And a plus - I sold my first item on craigslist!

I saved money and I made some money

Needless to say, I didn't have to work out today.

WHat a great lesson for all. Where I live, most would have had the child stay home instead of walking them to school. (staying home would not be an option inmy house)

When your DS is older and has kids of his own, he'll tell the story about having to walk to school. Uphill...both ways. And, how he had to kill a bear with his loose leaf note book.
