Yep, it's a Psych class cross-listed with African American Studies. The professor seems great and definitely the type to challenge our minds. The only thing that's really strange so far is that our final exam is one question and we already know what that question is: Develop a plan for the success of African Americans in this country. We also have to do four critical book reviews and keep a journal.

For the final you are the President of the African American Institute for Mental, Political, and Communal Health. This is a think tank of highly motivated activist. Your assignment in to lead them in writing a strategic plan for the healing the African American Community. This plan is commissioned by the African American Political Caucus, The NAACP, and Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Urban Empowerment. Based your Psy/AfAm 322 course design a report with the following eight components:
(1) Your Plan and overview for empowering the African American community,
(2) Your understanding of the current situation of African Americans,
(3) Include a discussion of the Core values of African Americans,
(4) delineation of the essential needs of the African American community,
(5) Statement of your vision of a healthy African American Community,
(6) Issues to be addressed in your report/plan,
(7) Financial Strategies and plan for uplifting the African American Community, and
(8) Critical Recommendations to be offered.
