I hit up Spaceship Earth as it's one of my favourite classic attractions. Does anyone have an idea of when they are going to do the refurbishment on it? I know it was announced before Covid (ish?).
I remember hearing that too, but haven't heard anything lately.....
Of course I had to get a picture with the best new topiary at the F&G festival. Could Groot be any cuter?
Yes! I had to get that same one too!
"I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls. I only had one song missing now, "Everyone Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears and one opportunity to ride the next day. Would I make it and close in on my song collection goal? What do you think?
I still have yet to get either of those two. I think we got Disco Inferno, One Way or Another, and September.
wanted the chicken satay with spicy peanut sauce
That sounds good, we didn't have much time there, and I missed that one.
They also planted seeds in my head for 12 years down the road. I know I will still want to be in my happy place when I am 70.
We must be close in age, because I'm less than a year out for my 60th. Which reminds me I need to make hotel/cruise parking arrangements for that trip.
4 park challenge complete!
Yay for you!
I ended the night watching some of Luminous from the beach by my room. It was the perfect end to an amazing day.
That sounds like a great day, and not too strenuous!
A 5 day trip is lovely but it goes by way too fast!
Yes, a five day trip is much too short. I need at least a week.
I went for the famous lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes with bacon and they did not disappoint.
Those sound pretty delish! However, I won't be able to try them next trip, I think we have too many plans already! LOL!
I decided to upgrade my 5 day hopper to an AP!
Yay!
With a trip this summer, December and next March, I will wring every drop of value out of it.
That's the way to do it!
I was decked out in all my St Patrick's finery.
Look at you! How cute is that T-shirt?
I grabbed a photo with Walt at Dreamer's Point. This whole area is so restful and relaxing, I just love it.
I don't even know where that is. We were so rushed on our last trip, I barely got to explore that new area.
I had a lunch reservation coming up at Wine Bar George so headed to the front of the park to grab a Lyft to DS. That's next!
I'm hoping to try that place on our next trip!
To start I went for an Aperol Spritz. This was just okay... I think they went light on the Aperol and heavy on the club soda. It doesn't even have the robust orange colour they usually have.
I just don't get the appeal of those, but they are very popular. Here in the states they surpassed the Margarita as the most popular cocktail.
I decided to treat myself to the olive oil cake as it was my last day. This was really interesting with black olives that had been marinated in a light syrup. I had never tried anything like it before.
That sounds absolutely disgusting. Then again, I dislike olives.
Here's my super cute new baby....just used her for the first time last weekend when we were celebrating our anniversary in Niagara on the Lake.
Great placement on the Orange Bird!
I finally headed to the airport around 7:45 where I waited and waited and waited. We finally flew out just after 11:00 and landed at 2:00 am! Then I had to clear customs and get home. Luckily I had a driver picking me up so it wasn't too bad. But I was definitely feeling at work the next day!
Yikes! There is no way I could make it to work with that little sleep. Then again, I'm lucky I don't have a day job.
I should be starting a 3 trip PTR soon, have to take advantage of my AP!
See you real soon!
I hope you post here to let us know when you start it!
