OKay.....I had no idea where to post this but it's very important so I hope someone can help me.

We're leaving for our honeymoon April 18 at 7:57. We live in Oklahoma...Central Time Zone. We're flying to WDW and we're supposes to arrive at 2:00.

Here's my question: Will we arrive at 2:00 eastern time or 2:00 central time?? I've searched all over my tickets, but couldn't find anything. I've never flown outside of my own timezone before...I guess I was so excited we were going to WDW that I forgot to take into account the time difference.

So, all of you out-of-state travelers....how does this work? Will we need to depart at 5:00 central or eastern time?? Grrrr....this confuses me deeplY!! :confused3

Thanks sooooo much!!

The time shown on your ticket should be the correct time in the time zone you will be in. So you leave 7:57 Central Time and arrive in Orlando at 2:00 pm Eastern Time. When you leave, your flight will be EASTERN Time and when you arrive that is the time it will be in CENTRAL time. Does that make sense?

Airline ticket times are always LOCAL times. So if your ticket says you leave Orlando at 5pm, that means 5pm LOCAL time, or EST.

The arrival and departure times are stated in in terms of the time zone you are in when you either depart or arrive. If my ticket says Depart ABQ 7am arrive MCO 2pm then I am leaving Albuqueraue at 7am Albuquerque time and arriving in Orlando at 2pm orlando time.

LOL, I was wondering why the trip to Orlando takes 9 hours and the trip back only takes 6. Of COURSE there's a time zone change. Man, do I feel dumb.

Whenever I've flown it shows the time in the time zone you will be in.

Really throws me for a loop when I go from east coast to west coast :)

Taylorstimac,

Where in Oklahoma do you live?

I'm from Broken Arrow.

I live in Spiro, OK.

About 15 minutes from Fort Smith, AR.

I have relatives in Broken Arrow! It's a small world after all (no pun intended!)

:sad2:
