I will be at WDW for 3 days in DEC of this year, 7 days in February and 7 days next November.
I guess getting an AP in DEC is the best deal. It seems like 7-8 days in the park is the
break even point and with a Disney Club Membership - it's even better.
Anyone know of a better deal or discount or special that's going on.
I wish the 50 GC was still an option.....
Leaving soon
Thanks
Bill

I don't know of a better deal or discount on the AP, but you are wise to purchase the AP with those travel plans! The first step is admitting your addiction and the second step is finding a less expensive way to do it!!

I figured this out last week for someone ...

Here's a breakdown of pass prices:

Adult 5 day park hopper = $230.02 or $46.00 per day
Adult AP = $369.95
Break even point is 8 days.

Adult 7 day hopper PLUS = $325.44 or $46.50 per day
Adult 7 day LOS pass = $331.00 or $47.28 per day
Adult Premium AP = $497.14
Break even point is 10.69 days.

Of course, you'll save money on the hoppers and the APs if you use your Disney Club card.

Hi...the other major positive for an AP is the ability to do very selective Disney stuff....we have APs and really enjoy a golf round during the day or a trip to the mall or the ocean and then head over to Disney at 6 or 7 PM see a few things with the crowds down, have a meal and not feel like we wasted a full day admission on just a few hours.....we do this every year and if we see an airfare sale we get on priceline and can do a week at Disney for a very low price because the second and subsequent Disney admissions are "free!!" Enjoy...Ted

I don't think robinb's analysis is correct - at least with the PAP. The PAP allows unlimited visitation to all parks including water parks, disney quest & pleasure island - you are limited to only a number of visits with hoppers. A straight per day to $$ comparison doesn't work as the PAP advantages make it a value at less days than the $ comparison, because of the worldwide benefits everyday. I believe the LOS/UMP is limited as well. The AP analysis is probably closer to her projections.

Tim.

Thank you all for your input. I agree with everyone - I guess I just wanted to make sure,
since it is a bundle of money to shell out (2 adults 2 kids). Ted - you brought up a very
good point and to embelish on that - I just got an email for $78.00 round trip
(Newark NJ to Orlando) on certain flights thru June 2002. So you bet we are looking at
our calendar right now. For $312.00, for the family, and we own timeshare that I can trade - this gives
me a winning combination all around.
Gotta go PACK
THanks
Bill
