What are the odds that I am seated prior to my reservation time?

The primary reason I made the reservation is because I want to be one of the first people to ride Soarin', and I heard it's a great way to get there before all the rope droppers...

I've read that as long as your restaurant reservation is pre-9:00am that you can get to the park as early as 7:45am! Is it possible that I'm seated early enough to eat and enjoy the PPO perk of getting on Soarin' early? Thanks in advance!

I got an 8:15 this morning 6 months out. Nothing was available before 9 up through last night. I woke up to a text from TP resfinder a few hours earlier and I'll be darn, it was still available! I've got plenty of time to move it back more. I don't know the answer to this question exactly but I do know that some places seat as you come. BOG is one but not a character breakfast.

Keep trying for that ADR!!! Even the day before your trip! Many ppl cancel. So you just never know. By checking multiples times a day, i've always managed to snag the hard to get ADRs i wanted.

Last December, we had a PPO at GG. We were running a few minutes behind to check in. When we got to the podium we asked the host if we could go ride Soarin really quickly and then come back. They said, sure! Just check back in with us when you get done. Not sure if that was just an unusually lenient host or what.

They have one line for all PPO's. We had a 8:20ADR at GG. We were let in the park about 7:50 and were seated as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. We ate leisurely, saw all the characters, and were in line at Soarin' before the rope droppers!

Not your question, but unless you really want to eat at Garden Grill, rope-dropping Soarin' is (in my experience this month) completely painless.

If you still want an earlier ADR, the Touring Plans reservation finder system works -- I love that thing.

We had a PPO Garden Grill breakfast during the July 4th week. We ended up eating first and did not get to Soarin until about 9:30. There was still no line. We walked right through the standby line with no wait.

It is a great way to be among the first to ride Soarin' but not at the time you have.
With that late of a time Its unlikely that you'd be seated THAT much before your ADR that you'd be able to finish eating in time to be among the first in line for Soarin'.
If Soarin' is important to you you'll want to cancel that ADR and just RD it or FP it.

I think you will be good. I had an 8:30am reservation, they let us in before 8 and we were seated right away and were done and riding Soarin' BEFORE rope drop. Enjoy!

You have a great plan. When I plan our fast pass's I try to get a breakfast like GG or Tusker which are close to great rides. We always manage a walkon and its like having the 4th fast pass because I can concentrate our passes on other rides and the food at GG is good.

Well I must've had a real prick for a CM at the gate....because he literally gave us 5 min to get to our ADR from the gate. Our ADR mustve been at 805am...and he didnt let us (or anyone else) in until 8am. I was not happy at all. :furious:

goofy you might try something that I do that seems to change attitudes a lot. I take a picture of everyone that helps me (good or bad) and make sure I get the name tag. I have been asked by less then friendly CM's why the picture and I just reply for notes.

In our several experiences at the IG, they let everyone waiting in the PPO breakfast line, as long as it was before 9 am, in shortly before 8. We were nearly first there and seated immediately. Our ADR this time is 8:20 and hoping for same but probably have jinxed myself, LOL.

ETA: they have never let the guests with 8:05 in much before 8 am. As I said above, they have let everyone in at once every single time. Many, many experiences with this to Garden Grill and Akershus at main gate and, more frequently, IG. Good luck, OP. I enjoy the PPO breakfast then immediately to Soarin’ or Frozen.

:lmao: I like that idea. I'll take a pic of the less-than-helpful (even curt) CMs, then hang posters up like "wanted" signs. Only i'll phrase it like "stay away" from these CMs. :teeth:

(totally kidding of course)

Thats isn't entirely accurate, atleast not in my experience. I was told 10-15 minutes before your reservation only. We had a 8:05 reservation and had the same experience as @goofyintoronto. They held us until 8am had 5 minutes to make it to Akershus... lets just say I got my daily cardio that morning.

You can pretty much walk on Soarin within the first hour of park opening now that they have the 3rd theater.

When I get back from vacation I always send an email complimenting good workers and including a picture so they know who I am talking about. I made a complaint about 2 restaurants (and didn't include a picture) they replied back and asked for pictures. This tells me that they monitor their mail at least very well.

Wow thats interesting! I didnt know they ask for pics. This surprises me. But its a good thing to note...i'll try to take pics on my next trip. :) I like to compliment CMs/Servers who do a great job.

I lost about half our group on the way... my fiancé caught a cramp in his leg and we had to abandon him somewhere in Mexico. :rotfl2:
I was so glad it was overcast that day because if that Florida sun had been shining, I might have died :lmao:
