<font color=navy>Hi all,

I got to ride Tower of Terror tonight - omGosh! It was a lot of fun. The folks who are used to WDW were a little disoriented because the ride, although similar, is different enough that they didn't expect the drops when they happened.

I really want to go on it again! ... and soon. :sunny:

Wasn't it great? We rode it Friday night while at the event. I think we went on it 10 times. I loved it!

:hyper: I can't wait....I was too chicken to do it at WDW, but I am definitely ready now!
Is it pretty jolting?? I have a mildly bad back...it would take a pretty good fall or jar to hurt it......I ride horses, play softball, and have done all the other rides with no problem. So what do you think?
Thanks

My husband has a bad back and he rode it every time I did. You shouldn't have a problem. Enjoy!

<font color=navy>ltldeb ... lucky you, we only got to ride it once, and, of course, there were too many details to take them all in at once. I'm looking forward to going back with my kidlets. :)

Grog ... you'll get your turn, and I'll be in line, too waiting for the fun. One of the disadvantages of going now is the rush to get on the ride, so you miss many of the details that went into putting this ride together.

justmestace... I found the drops to be bouncy rather than jarring - I don't think your dh will have any problems....

We found that the WDW guests were caught off guard, because they expected to go across the building instead of dropping right away (he he ;) )

Although it's not as elaborate as the one in WDW, it is a great ride experience.

Oh, and it's HOT HOT HOT at Disneyland these days -- we literally melt during the day. :sunny:

We rode it on the 26th for the AP preview as well!

I thought it was great - dd says she likes the one at WDW better - but that did not stop her from riding it several times yesterday! (gotta love the chickens in our group who did not want to ride)

I agree about the weather - I could not believe how HOT it was - and this is coming from an Arizona gal!

I got to ride it this morning - It is beautiful! I have never been on the one at WDW -

I love it! My only complaint is that I thought the ride was over too soon! If I waited in line for an hour (which I am sure how long it will be when the ride opens) I think I would be disappointed -

Boy, it was hot today too - I was going to stay longer, but I couldn't take the heat!

I was supposed to go today for the AP preview but had an emergency and could not go. :( I know it was unbearably HOT today so I suppose it is just as well, I will get there eventually.

I'm suprised to hear it is a shorter ride than the WDW one, I thought it was supposed to be MORE elaborate? I guess that made me think it was longer.

And thanks for the warning, Mary Jo, I like being prepared for the drops. :)

How so?

I think for one thing, at WDW the 'elevator' moves forward so you feel like you are moving into the hallway - The DCA ride does not. I don't know that it makes the ride any better or worse, just different.

We're planning on being there on the 4th, anyone know if they're keeping it open between now and the "official" opening on the 5th?
