I spent over a year looking for a job in TX and then moved back to CA and have been searching out here since Aug. 2008 and I finally, finally got hired.
This job came about due to my DS's best friends mom who has a friend that I met at a college graduation party last May,09 and she remembered me and that I was looking for work. Luckily she knew someone who was hiring, called my friend with contact and phone number and I immediately called. Five days later I had my first interview and today I had my second interview with the owner.
Here's the funny thing, two hours after I left the interview I'm in the drive-thru at "In-N-Out"
and the general manager calls me to tell me congratulations! I say thank you and she then wants to go over some things with me......Greaat!!!
Her and I luckily have a pretty good repor so far so I tell her where I am and she is going to hear other people talking for a few minutes. All went well but it just figures. Anyway, I start Monday and I'm sure the state of California will be thrilled to get me off their "payroll"

So I'm quietly celebrating....Yeah for me!!!!

The thing is, a few years ago I put my face on everyday of the week regardless. I've just been in such a funk. It's amazing what a new start can do to your head!!!!
