I'm so excited. I called at 7:30 (CST) and asked for the AP rate. I got 3 GV Poly concierge rooms for $235/night for our stay Feb. 12-18. The rates are out--I feel like I've been waiting forever and they are finally here!

Hey Kaye, you're there the same time as us and in the same room type!!! Maybe we'll be neighbors!!!

Kinda neighbors, Poly Feb. 12-18 but not concierge. It's almost Hula time. :)

I just started another thread on this but now I found you... Was your price including tax??

adams66--that price is without tax. The total for our stay (keeping in mind this is 3 rooms) is $4797.00 including tax. TA quoted us $500 or so per night so these savings are BIG for us.

jel0511--Isn't that funny. We'll probably be on the first floor (at least that's our request) and be the group with 2 kids (DD is 8, DS is 5) and 5 adults. :) Have you stayed at the Poly concierge before. If not, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. And if you have been, I hope you have a great time.

Kaye - We've requested ground floor too!!! That's too funny!!! Yes, we stayed at Poly concierge last Christmas, and we're going back since we loved it so much. It will be me, DH, DD almost 5 and DS almost 2. Hope to see you there!!!

Well, we'll be there a couple weeks before you guys. How come you both requested ground floor. Do you like it with the young kids?? My two DS's will be 6 and 7.

Well, two reasons. The third floor in Hawaii (and the only one with balconies) is smpking optional, not an option with my asthmatic DS, and the second floor doesn't have balconies, so at least the first floor has a patio. And the other reason, it's just so much easier with a stroller!!

Lori--that is too funny. I'm sure we'll run into you at the lounge.

Adams66, we didn't want 3rd floor initially because it's smoking optional and some in our party are very sensitive to the smell, and 2nd floor didn't have balconies. After staying on the first floor last time, we thought we would do it again because it worked out so well. F-i-L had coffee and read the paper on the patio while the kids ran around while we got everything ready for the day. Easy in and out with strollers. Plenty of privacy with all of the plants. :D

Kaye - I don't just think we'll run into each other in the lounge, I think we'll be next door neighbors!!!! We stayed in 1521 last time and are thinking of requesting this room again, near the other end of Hawaii, but VERY quiet!!!

Lori--I can't remember our room number. I don't know how you all do it. We were about in the middle of the first floor, that's all I remember. Maybe the room number was 1531 or 1533, but that's the best I can do.

Now that we have reservations, we're all very excited. I'll have to tell my DH that I've met a friend that 's go to the Poly the same time we are. He'll be very impressed since I tell him my 2 best friends are Katie Couric and Oprah! Take care.

Well I definitely don't want a room w/o a balcony and the smell of smoke does concern me. Thanks for the replies, I'll have to consider requesting ground floor as well.

Lori-
Have fun on the Wonder. I'm jealous.;)

I am sure I can find this on Tikiman's site, but what floor is the lounge on?

Kaye - I know what you mean, about Katie Couric being your best friend, I watch her every morning, while I get the kids dressed, so I can get DD off to Preschool. I can't wait until our Poly trip, the Poly is our 2nd favorite hotel behind the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, you just can't beat the space there!!!

adams66 - thanks for the good wishes for our cruise, we're really excited and can't wait to leave on Sunday!! Also, the lounge is located on the 2nd floor, right between the stairway and the elevator. It's really convienent to all the floors due to it being right next to both the elevator and stairs. We stayed on the first floor last time and hopefully will again and it didn't seem the least bit inconvienent.
