See all our DH's are so supportive..even when it's bad...really bad and they should fess up!!!

I'm sure if I think hard enough I have had a cooking mis-hap here..I'll have to think about it...

OY, I have had many mis-haps...it comes with trying to change things up and trying new stuff...

My worst was when I wanted to make a yule log for Christmas. His mom was coming and I saw this pic, and the frosting was all looking like bark, and there were sprigs of mint and cherries...the picture looks so festive...THAT was going to be my great dessert for my first Christmas...

I had everything, the parchment paper, the brand new jelly roll pan, all the necessary things to make this awesome dessert...I was so proud...till I used the 10x sugar instead of the flour in the cake recipe. YUCK-O!!! Needless to say, the cake was trash...

We had ice cream for dessert....

Not my DH. If it is awful, he'll say so. He won't let the boys eat it if it tastes bad.

But the garlic thing. That is so funny. And the story so doesn't match what you think when you read the tag. I love it.

Thick burned sugar...it had 10x sugar AND the sugar the recipe called for, plus the eggs, baking soda and baking powder and vanilla...it was a sticky mess that didn't rise. I couldn't figure out what I did...I mean, I had done cakes before, must be the jelly roll pan I was thinking...till I tried to roll it up like the directions said...oozy grossness.........

His mom got a good laugh out of it though...thinking her new daughter-in-law is really truly a dumb blonde...

Honeybehr1 chased away vampires, ddavis860 made exotic sugar scrub from scratch, and Mickster made - well gross stuff- sorry Mickster it is just too disgusting to try to come up with something cute.

You play just by posting here on the DIS.

Something you post will strike the Tag Fairy just right, and they will put the saying in your avatar.

Nobody really knows why or how the Tag Fairy gifts. Some people have thousands of posts and no tag, some have very few posts and a tag already.

There were some audience contest during WPASADI that would let you keep a tag or donate a tag.

Hope that helps some. There are others who may know more.

I didn't know either..and apparently I had been tagged! I did see it..but thought I had done something wrong!..and wondered why this phrase that I posted was appearing under my avatar! All of a sudden..I feel special!
