Well, I turned 40 this year so I get to start the yearly squishing.

Has it occurred to anyone that the most common test for male cancer doesn't involve squishing any tender parts on their bodies???? Why can they just turn their head and cough and we have to get things checked in a vice press?

Just bumping for a good reminder.

And as for the turn your head and cough, that is for hernia check, not prostate. As for prostate, the most common exam is 'drop your drawers and bend over'. The other, and should also be done, not instead of, but in addition to, is a blood test.

I was very fortunate that the suspicious mass found on my mammogram was benign. It's never too early to be tested.

Thanks so much. It's a horrible, horrific disease and watching her go through this is terrifying. She and I appreciate your hugs.

Getting squished on Tues. at 3 pm! The only part I'm looking forward to are the Hershey kisses they have in the post-squishing area! Mine is a 6-mo. check on my right breast after biopsy on calcifications (which came back negative). Doesn't mean I'm not nervous, though!

The good thing about the whole ordeal is the bowl of Hershey Kisses that are in the post-squishing room! I plan on eating the whole stinking bowl!!!!
