She came out and ate tonight, but seemed in a bad mood. Wasn't as friendly as usual. I don't know whether it was because I found her where I usually leave the food rather than where I've been sitting down and having her eat with me there, or if the flash of the camera irritated her, or what. She just wasn't as friendly. :( Wouldn't talk to me tonight, just hissed until I set the food down then ate and ran. Usually she talks to me.

But she still trusted me enough to come out and eat, and after the first time the flash went off she didn't startle at all because of it. She just refused to show me her right side for some reason while she ate. It's as though if I'm to her left, she feels safe, but if I'm to her right, she doesn't feel safe or something. I dunno. I've noticed that before, too.

Anyway, here are the new pictures :)

Awww... she is such a cutie!! If you catch her, you really must keep her ;)

How sweet....at least she "posed" for a shot or two...

WHat a sweetie! Thanks for sharing. She will come around.... yes she will. :-)

Omg, purple eyes! Is that her real eye color or is that just the camera? She is so adorable!:D

Her eyes are about 3/4 between blue and gold on the golden end. Still young enough that her eyes reflect blue and purple instead of gold and yellow, but old enough that seeing the eyes without their extra reflections makes them look gold. Which is part of the reason I think she's still young.

I just LOVE her eyes....:D

Awww....I hope you can entice her to become part of your brood. She is gorgeous...does she have a name?:)
If not...she looks like a Bomburlina or maybe a Demeter

She doesn't have a name yet because I'm trying *not* to name her unless we know we're going to keep her. With my allergies and asthma, we shouldn't. We should find a new home for her ASAP after catching her. But (duh) I've grown attached to her an would like to keep her. So we'll see. It also depends on the vet report -- if she has something like FIV which can be transmitted to other cats, then she needs to find a home with no other cats. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives, but it's contagious enough you don't want to put them with other cats. Other diseases would make it best for her to be put down, though my feel is she's disease-free, just got the usual pests that outdoor cats have (like fleas). I have nothing but observation and impression to base that on, though. But again, I'm trying not to grow attached enough to her to name her yet in case she needs to be put down, too.

But if I do get to keep her and name her, Ashley is one name on the list. I also have Cinderella/Cindy, Kira, Aurora, or Honey on the list. The more I know her, the more she strikes me as an Ashley or Kira, though.

She is beautiful. Thank you so much for taking care of this little soul. I know we cannot take care of every lost and injured animal (people fit in this category too!) - but each that we do care for - is just one less impoverished and potentially wasted life. You are making a difference - especially in this kitten's life right now.
