I don't think I've ever heard those words before, and I'm pretty sure I'll never hear them again.

Good episode, but I don't know why in the world they had to kill off Laverne.

I didn't even know the show was back on the air! When's it on & what happened?

Thanks for the reminder to watch it. I taped it last night.

I just finished watching it. What tear jerker, yet funny too.

I don't know why they go rid of her. Maybe to do the circle of life or something like that.:confused3

I believe this is the last season, isn't it. So maybe that's why.

It started at 9:23p for me last night up here in MA. That's a strange time. One of the previous shows must have been a 'super sized' show maybe??

I think it was a little too obvious that carla would be crying at the end. I was more "sad" in an earlier episode when, towards the end of the show, all of a sudden everyone's patient died. All within a few lines of a realy sad song.

Mikeeee

I'm gonna miss Laverne. I do love the show though.

Yeah, whoever picks their music must really enjoy being sad.

Who is Laverne? The nurse? How'd she die?

I got pregnant in this little number.

Jealous? ;)

Laverne was the black nurse, not to be confused with Carla the Hispanic nurse. She was in a car wreck. It took her 2 episodes to die.

Awwwww. I hope it's a boy this time!:goodvibes How are you gonna tell your blank-shootin' husband?

 Immaculate Conception?

But he never did go back to have the specimen check, so maybe I can convince him the snip-snip didn't work. :teeth:

I have a urologist friend who told me several of his patients have come into his office, left their wives in the waiting room, and then told him to NOT do the procedure but ACT LIKE HE DID.

Wow. Way to hijack my thread, Sugarpie!

Did the doctor go along with it?

I can totally see my husband trying to do that. He had a friend who played softball the day after his vasectomy, and his 'boys' swelled up to the size of large grapefruit. So DH was terrified. It took him 2 Valium to get to the doctor's office that day.

Sorry. Feel free to discuss Scrubs again. I know how fascinating TV can be. :)

Not grapefruit. LARGE grapefruit. :rotfl: Yeah, not the best advert for that doctor, but I'm sure the patient was very proud, "as a peacock" as it were.

My friend doesn't play along with the 'let's not and say we did' patients.

Loved the episode. I was crying. Bill Lawrence said before the season started that someone who's been there from the beginning would die, so it wasn't really a surprise but still a bit of a tearjerker.

I was just reading Zach Braff's blog on MySpace the other day - logged on and there was a bulletin from him that he had updated. He signed on for season 7 so it looks like it'll be back. He said that if NBC doesn't pick it up for a 7th season, that ABC has agreed to pick it up since they actually own the show. So looks like one way or another, the show will be back for a 7th and final season.

:thumbsup2 :cool1:

That's wonderful news. I saw him on an interview several months ago (when his movie was coming out) and that is when he gave me the impression that this would be the last season. It seemed to be up in the air at that point.

Great news!
